Pros: Energy efficiency, cleaning, quiet operation Cons: You need a competent experienced serviceman to install this dishwasher.
We purchased our first dishwasher in 1982 when we had a complete remodel of the kitchen in our older home that was built in 1939. It was great to have dishes washed automatically and with the hot water and strong detergent the dishes were cleaner and ...

Pros: Very quiet, washed everything perfectly and great design. Cons: Cycles can be a bit long.
I recently bought all new appliances for my kitchen and I went for the Viking range as I felt they were good, solid appliances. However, I decided that for the dishwasher I would go for Bosch and I wanted to go for a front loading washer this time so I ...

Pros: Silent operation. Cleans well. Great racks. Cons: No quality or parts. Very expensive.
Bosch knows this and has no integrity.
8/2003 The old Maytag Dishwasher that came with the house was so noisy that you could not have a conversation in the kitchen while it was running. I should say sterilizing as you had to wash the dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, but then ...

Outstanding Product
by kjmiller57 ,Feb 21 '04
Pros: Quiet, Clean Dishes, Quality Craftsmanship. Cons: Installation was more difficult than the last unit I dropped in under the counter.
Consumer Reports rated this unit #1 four years running, and now I know why. I am one of the obsessive compulsive people that have to have a sanitizing dishwasher. My Kitchen Aid failed after only 5 years. I replaced it with the Bosch on the recommendation of Consumer Reports and a salesperson at the store. They were right on. The dishes get so much cleaner feeling that the Kitchen Aid. You also have to put your ear to it to hear if it is running. I have never heard such a quite dishwasher... Ever.

Plan on servicing it often
by lbg922 ,Jun 09 '08
Pros: Looks Cons: Too many to list
I have only had this machine for two years. I use it maybe twice a week. It is continually breaking down in one way or another. The washer is very quiet and quite good looking but don't let it's good looks fool you.
The problems I have encountered are broken shelves, leaking, it stinks to high heavens if not used often, and now I am dealing with the springs on the door being replaced AGAIN. I ofen have dry the dishes before upon emptying the machine. Seems like Bosch has made a lemon.
Customer service has been useless. I have emailed my concerns and was directed to call a service tech. DUH!

REALLY QUIET!
by lfinato ,Aug 15 '05
Pros: NO noise, high quality racks, very efficient on water and detergent Cons: Can't flip up cutlery tray when upper rack is in up position
First such a deal I got. Needed a new machine to replace our aging Kenmore Ultra Wash which had totally ruined our Corelle dishes. Was almost set to buy a lesser Bosch but went to my local Sears and found this on closeout for $600! Couldn't get it in the car fast enough I felt like a thief! Anyway installed it and I am totally amazed by it. Exremely quiet. Absolutely near silent. The gurgling in the drain makes more noise than the machine. Beautifully designed and made. Just a great buy.
