6'4" and loving it
by skoobs ,Jan 22 '05
Pros: Drivability
Design & Construction
Flexibility ( car seat, seat, bassinet)
Ride
Cons: Price (but you get what you pay for)
We have had the frog for over 3 months and I find it awesome. Being a tall man my feet don't hit the wheels and I don't have to bend over to grab the bar. Pushing couldn't be easier from the rough sidewalks around here to dirt or just shopping it maneuvers like a dream. We use the Peg Perego infant seat and attaching it is a bit tricky, but not a problem at all once you get used to it (although it does give you some more parts to keep track of). We also use the bassinet, but only for walks around the neighborhood.
The price is steep, but being a designer the design, construction and look of it is so great (we get many "cool stroller" comments) not to mention it is so great to push.
As for a diaper bag - if you have a shoulder bag you can just drape it over the handle bar and away you go, but be careful once you remove the seat as the stroller will tip. Skip Hop makes a nice one that matches the stroller pretty close and does not look like a diaper bag.

the tires on my Bugaboo croaked
by bergenpug ,Feb 03 '05
Pros: cool styling, easy to use, easy to load in car Cons: lousy tires, quirky brake lock, under carriage bag is useless
I have been using my Bugaboo Frog stroller for two months now and in that time I have had 5 flat tires and one complete blown tire. At the playground this week, one of the tires actually blew up and it sounded like a gun shot. I don't use it every day, and when I do, it's on sidewalks around Los Angeles. Not exactly off roading. I contacted Babystyle, where I bought it, and they couldn't have been less interested in helping me. So, I called Bugaboo directly, they are local, and they promised to send me out a pair of new tires that day. well it's been ten days and still no tires. I love how the stroller looks, and it is pretty easy to use, but I am very disappointed in the quality of it and the service I have received. Another thing, you have to really push on the brake lever to make sure it's locked. Even if it looks locked, check it because it can still roll. Oh and the under carriage bag stinks. Hmm. Maybe I don't like it as much as I thought...

What a great stroller!
by amargoliji ,Jan 25 '06
Pros: Easy to navigate
Easy to fold up
Lightweight
Attractive
Comfortable for you and the baby Cons: None
My husband and I bought this stroller after hearing
about it from a friend, and then checking it out for
ourselves. Yes, it was expensive. We bought a few
of the 'extras', which brought the price up
some more. However, as far as I can tell, it was
a great investment. The stroller is super lightweight,
easy to fold up, can turn on a dime, fits nicely into
our trunk (Passat wagon), looks great, and steers
beautifully. I should note that I have the aubergine
Frog, but the red is great too....!

The BEST Stroller!
by bgc05 ,Jun 15 '06
Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, ages 0-4, GREAT to "drive" Cons: needs a cup holder, expensive stroller and accessories
I absolutely love this stroller. It is so lightweight and easy to use. It can turn on a dime and is easy to navigate through narrow store aisles with one hand! It glides over icy brick and cobblestone sidewalks as well as big roots in the sidewalk and sand. We have had a fantastic experience with this stroller and it is worth every penny. That being said - we live in an environment that allows this stroller to shine. We are in a snowy, walking city and travel to places that we need a rugged stroller.
If you live in the burbs, it is probably not the stroller for you. Although it is easy to use, it is not easy to quickly break down and pop in and out of the car. This is not a complicated process, but probably not one that you would want to do every single time you hop in and out of the car to do errands.

I like it but...
by gremlingirl ,Jul 08 '06
Pros: Very smooth ride
Bassinet perfect for newborns
3 stage recline
Easy to push Cons: hard to fold
No cup holder
No snack tray
straps too big
I am very happy with my Bugaboo overall. It was a lifesaver when travelling as my son slept in the bassinet part when he was a newborn.
However, I am currently looking for a lightweight stroller as trying to cope with the Bugaboo alone in an airport is a nightmare. I actually had to sit my son down on the floor after going through the security check as I had no way of putting the Bugaboo back together while holding him. You really have to have both hands free. Plus its a pain to take to the airplane as you have 2 parts to worry about putting claim tags on, (3 if you are using a infant carrier as you will have the adaptor too) and to me thats double the risk of one of the pieces being misplaced.
I love my Bugaboo for walking around the neighbourhood, but really need something else for travelling.
I am disappointed as I thought for the price I wouldnt have to invest in yet another stroller.

maclaren eat your heart out
by abbypec ,Feb 14 '07
Pros: heavy duty, safe, easy to push, attractive, adaptable Cons: NONE!
this stroller rocks! whether wind, snow, sleet or hail - i can trudge through city streets with this amazing stroller. i know people complain about taking it apart and putting it together - but it's so easy once you've done it one time (i do it everyday when i drop off and pick up my daughter at daycare!) it was FOR SURE worth every penny. i've had it for over four years and it's still in great shape!

Best Stroller Around!
by frogman999 ,Mar 07 '05
Pros: Multiple features, Doesn't feel like it will fall apart. Cons: If any---Price
This stroller has a bassinet feature for your newborn and will last up around 15 lbs. It is great for your newborn to lay on there back and not hurt there back. The stroller attachment is awesome as well. It is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. For the reviewer that wrote more like a toad, they probably never watched the Video or Cd Rom included. It takes about 15 seconds to take it the stroller out of your car and assemble it fully for your child. Yes it is a lot of money but if you spend $250-$400 on a Maclaren that feels flimsy you might has well get 3 strollers in one.

Bugaboo Frog ROCKS!!
by pablodog ,Dec 22 '03
Pros: Revolutionary Design, Durable, Safe. Cons: Price. That's it
If you are reading this you probably already know about the Bugaboo Frog. I'll save from explaining the specs, etc. Bugaboo has a fantastic web site. Go check it out. I found it very informative. This stroller is simply the best. Aside from all the Hollywood hype about this stoller it really is great. It's remarkably light in weight. The options you have with this stoller is one of the reasons it's so great. YOU decide how you would like it to operate. Not the other way around. If you can afford it. Rather, if you want to spend the cash, buy one!
