The Canon Powershot SD10 Altoids tin? We don’t need no stinking Altoids tin

by Howard_Creech Howard_Creech is a Lead on Epinions in Electronics, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Dec 14 '03
Pros: Smallest 4 megapixel digicam in the World, ISO 50, very good image quality
Cons: No optical viewfinder, weak flash, minimal manual exposure options, no zoom, mediocre battery life
In the spring of 2003 Pentax introduced the tiny Optio S, the smallest 3 megapixel digital camera in the world. Advertisers (in a masterful marketing move) pictured the ultra compact Optio S nestled in an empty Altoids tin. For miniaturization mad ...

A Tad Longer then My Cell Phone

by ParisLemon , Apr 07 '04
Pros: SIZE!, 4 mega-pixel, the quality of pictures.
Cons: No optical zoom, no optical viewfinder.
The Canon Powershot SD10 Digital Elph is a great compact digital camera. I recently purchased it after losing my old digital camera, the Canon Powershot S200 Digital Elph. I had been very happy with the S200, but to be honest I was thinking about ...

The perfect digital companion

by aknutson , Aug 17 '05
Pros: small, light, good battery, good screen, great pictures.
Cons: could be built tougher, sometimes freezes.
This camera has been my digital companion for over a year now, and it has performed perfectly in almost every situation I've put it through, and that's been a lot to ask! I've held the camera in my hand while downhill mountain biking, let it hang off the ...

The new Elph camera is pure sex appeal.

by zlmajors Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jan 31 '04
Pros: Small, sexy, great photos, easy to use. Did I mention its really sexy?
Cons: No optical zoom, could be too small for some hands.
Well the old adage goes "sex sells", and Canon has turned this adage onto a unexpected object: Cameras. Almost everyone who is into camera's, be it pro or amateur, is familiar with Canon's line of Elph cameras. The Elph line really combined the cool ...

PowerShot SD-10: The Art-Deco Camera from Outer Space

by sahen , Jun 19 '04
Pros: Great picture quality, stylish and sturdy design, easy to use
Cons: No optical zoom, no scene modes, digital zoom is worthless
I was the first kid on my block to start documenting my life with a digital camera, but eventually the time came to replace my aging Sony Mavica. After a long process of online research, comparing features, and touching every model on display at the ...

by shopaholic_man Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Feb 12 '05
Pros: The smallest I have seen with great image quality. Easy to use!
Cons: No optical zoom or view finder. Limited photo modes. Slow shutter.
I always said that if I ever switched from my Pentax SLR film camera outfit and went digital, I'd want a little camera that was easy to carry. WOW, the Powershot SD10 is definitely that! This was by far the smallest camera that I saw at any camera store! ...

Excellent and minuscule point and shoot camera

by pablo_lie , Mar 04 '04
Pros: Ultra-compact size, amazing picture quality (in "manual" mode), high quality look-and-feel
Cons: Average picture quality in standard full-auto mode
An ultra-compact camera that produces truly amazing pictures -and I am comparing them to a $800 Leica Digilux- once you learn some of its idiosyncrasies. It's all most people will need. There are many reviews out there that tell you in detail what's ...

Best Travel Camera EVER!

by pfalcioni , Nov 05 '04
Pros: GREAT pictures. Bullet-proof design. REALLY, REALLY easy to use. Smaller than your cell phone.
Cons: No Zoom.
Best Travel Camera EVER! My husband and I enjoy traveling. We enjoy not only 'regular' trips in the car to the usual tourist locations, but also spend many vacation days aboard motorcycles and ATV's. For 'normal' locations, I carry a Cannon Rebel ...

Pros: Small, takes quick shots
Cons: No optical zoom, some pictures turn out blurry
I have only had this camera for 8 months and I'm having problems with this camera already. The power button does not work sometimes and when I'm viewing the pictures, the camera freezes and the only way to unfreeze the camera is to take out the battery ...

A great pocket camera - especially if you know a few tricks.

by blacksheep , Feb 22 '07
Pros: small size, good macro, good image quality
Cons: noise at higher iso, needs a steady hand
How could I resist the tiny size and beautiful design of this camera? For a couple of years, the SD10 has been my everyday camera. It has traveled absolutely everywhere with me and taken thousands of pictures. It even won a photography contest! ...

Canon SD10

by amietron , Jan 19 '08
Pros: Small compact size, reliable.
Cons: Had to buy a replacement battery and the camera died after almost 4 years.
I bought the Canon SD10 in late 2003 (my first digital camera!) because it was one of the smallest digital cameras on the market with 4MP. I loved its ultra-compact size in that I could bring it anywhere and everywhere in my pocket. The camera itself has ...

THIS CAMERA ROCKS
by jayangela ,Sep 14 '06
Pros: INCREDIBLE pictures, AMAZING close-ups, compact, lightweight, great case, clear viewfinder, easy controls.
Cons: My only reservation is that zoomed-in pictures come out blurry.
This camera takes incredible pictures. The case it comes with is the PERFECT size because you can strap it on your belt for quick access without carrying something bulky around. The camera is SMALL and SLIM and the rechargeable battery is great (but I would recommend buying a backup one (you can get one for $6 on ebay).

E-18 error seems common
by alexlach ,Apr 11 '05
Pros: Very small, easy interfaces, good quality pictures
Cons: Reliability
I loved this camera but it broke after less than a month of use and gave me an E-18 error. I cost $105 to repair which was at the bottom of the range of prices that I was told it could cost when I called customer service. Very disappointing.
