Buy The CH-X1500 Instead!

Pros: Much more available music! Plays standard audio CDs as well.
Cons: Need JVC receiver with MP3-CD changer control functions. Also need access to CD burner.
The CH-X1500 plays MP3 files. You can play 6 to 10 times more music by burning MP3s onto a CD! It's almost like having a 72 disk changer!! Crutchfield sells it for just $30 more than the CH-X1100. Caveat: The JVC CH-X1500 CD/MP3 changer is compatible only with JVC receivers with MP3-CD changer control functions. I've got the JVC KS-FX490. I'm so much happier I went the MP3 route!!!
