The other '3'

by carnut2k4 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Phenomenal handling, safety, construction
Cons: Small backseat and trunk, could use about 50 more horsepower
The Bottom Line: -

With the 3 Series scheduled for another facelift when the 2006 model hits the showroom floors, I decided to grab some wheel time in the 2005 model. The '06 is on my short list of ‘possible next cars’ and I’d like to know what ...

Pros: Fun Factor is a 10--great handling and also classy.
Cons: AVOID THE NAV--IT IS HORRIBLE! Tilt on steering wheel should come down lower.
The Bottom Line: BMW 3 series continues to lead the pack with the best combo of sport and class on the road

I just traded my 2004 BMW 330 convertible for a 2005 325 convertible. I loved the 2004, but it had the sport package, and, after a couple of back surgeries last year, it sat a bit low and was uncomfortable. I had previously had a 2003 325 convertible ...

Pros: Great handling, good styling.
Cons: Last year of current body style, quality(?).
The Bottom Line: Ever since I drove this car, I've wanted one. It's a great package!

I went to an event that GM throws called Auto Show in Motion. They rent a location bring 150+ cars and let you drive them on closed courses they set up. No one rides along, and you can pretty much take the cars to their limit. The track: Set ...

The Bottom Line: It's worth it.

Happily I've had a great opportunity to drive for a week one of the most wanted and fun to drive BMWs of all times - 2005 BMW 3 Series - 325i Sedan to be more exact. First I'd like to say that the car fully lives up to BMW's claims of superb build ...

Pros: Handling, speed, comfort and the sweet looks of a Bimmer!
Cons: PRICE! They're easily overpriced, don't get suckered!
The Bottom Line: Don't settle for anything less than what you really want! I'm so glad that I didn't!!! THIS CAR IS A PERFECT 10 OUT OF 10!!!

I love this car! The 330i has been my dream car for about 3 years now and I spent forever trying to find one that was perfect but not a total rip off. This car is everything I dreamed of and more!!! I researched every single possible car that was even ...

2005 330 cic with Performance Pkg

Pros: Handling; performance and sound of engine/transmission; fit and finish is great; Solid, Silky, Smooth.
Cons: Lack of sufficient interior storage; clumsy placement of cupholders under center console.
Couldn't be happier. Remarkably solid for a convertible, the 6 speed manual is SILKY. I can't imagine driving this with an automatic. This car exudes superior quality at every level. The performance and acceleration convinces you that BMW continues it's tradition of understating power figures. This may also be attributable to that wonderful transmission.
We took delivery in Europe with BMW's Euro delivery program. I highly recommend this experience. We were able to order it to our preference- nav, performance package (yes!), adaptive lighting, heated seats, trim options, etc. The Euro delivery also applies an additional 7% discount to the capitalized cost of the vehicle (whether purchased or leased) on top of whatever deal you negotiate. Of course, the greatest benefit is driving your new BMW on the autobahns and the twisties of Germany, Austria, Italy, and wherever else you go. Just an incredible experience!

Our next car will be another BMW through Euro Delivery. In the past, we have owned the other luxury nameplates, but we are hooked on BMW now.

Pros: Fun to drive, beautiful interior. No rattles; feels very well built.
Cons: Doesn't absorb bumps well. That is my only complaint. 2005 Golf feels smoother on pavement.
Seven months ago I bought a 2005 325i with the premium package and I am very happy with it. It is a fun car to drive, and the 184hp engine definitely feels much more powerful than what it sounds. Pickup is quick, and breaking power is awesome. I love the beige interior with dark brown wood trims and black panel, it's quite elegant. You can't go wrong with the leatherette because it looks just like leather and it won't deteriorate like leather. The seats are comfortable if you get the lumbar support (included in premium package). The standard radio is more than plenty, unless you are the type to listen to music full blast. The size of the vehicle is just right, not too little, not too big. At high speeds it handles exceptionally well. I've driven hondas and toyotas but in this car I feel truly in control. It's been overall a nice experience to own this car.

Pros: handling, braking, stability, gas mileage with manual.
Cons: Nothing
This is absolutely the best car I had ever driven. I bought it pre-owned with the sports package, low profile tires and clear lights. The car looks very aggressive and sleek. I love the manual transmission I feel that the car responds to my shifting like in the orchestra. The engine sound is great and cornering is unbelievable. My wife has been complaining that I need to slow down since each time I see a curve I down shift and press the gas all the way to the floor to get the thrill.
