Pros: Meaty steering, surprisingly athletic handling, solid structure, excellent front-seat comfort.
Cons: Dinky cargo area, no third-row seating, poor fuel economy, touchy brakes, faintly absurd prices.
The Bottom Line: Cossetting luxury, impressive agility, acceptable utility. But... am I missing something, or is all this available in the less-expensive 3-Series wagon?

Pros: X-drive, Handling/Responsiveness, Acceleration, GIANT sunroof available, luxury, look
Cons: Gas guzzler (duh), Small Cargo area for a Mid-Size SUV, some cheap interior materials, GPS
The Bottom Line: Great Overall Luxury Sporty Mid-Size SUV for those who want an SUV plus a thrilling/sophisticated ride. Just don't carry a large family in it.

Pros: Looks, Handling, Comfort, Safety and Overall Value
Cons: Not enough time to drive it!
The Bottom Line: If you are considering a sporty, luxury SUV - buy this one! It is worth every penny you spend & depreciates slowly.
I've had my 2005 X5 for almost 6 months - taken it on two road trips (at 100 miles per hour it begs for more!) - have almost 10K miles on it - and have experienced flawless satisfaction. I also own an RX330 (well, my wife does!) and I love this SUV ...
