Pros: Price, Decent performance, Fuel economy, Warranty. Cons: No 2 door model, Interior, Projected poor Resale value. The Bottom Line: Still a decent value (after rebates), however I do feel there are better choices on the market.
Although horribly unreliable, when Dodge introduced the Neon back in 1994 it was one of the most fun-to-drive economy cars in its class. The car was light, had more than enough power, and offered great handling. So what has the Neon been up to over ...

Pros: Fun to Drive, Great Gas Mileage, Spacious Interior, European Suspension Cons: Very Few - See Review The Bottom Line: The 2005 Dodge Neon SXT is a very reliable and affordable sport/compact car. If you are in the market for a new car, the Neon SXT is worth a look!
This past December I finally managed to graduate from college after 5 1/2 long years, lol. I got a new full-time job in January and decided it was time for a new car. I actually didn't have much of a choice in this matter. I had put about $3,000 into my ...

Pros: Fun to Drive, Quick, Nimble, Good Ride, for an Affordable Price Cons: Spartan Interior with Standard Equipment, Not as Refined as the Competition
The Bottom Line: An Econo Car That Handles. The Neon Gives Good Mileage with Predictable, Sure Footed Cornering at an Affordable Price.
I admit it; I didn't want a Neon. I tried begging, pleading and tears streaming down my cheek, but, alas, it was all for naught. I was standing at the rental car counter and I was given the choice of a Neon at a bargain price, or a Liberty at an ...

Pros: Engine Performance, Handling Cons: Reliability Issues, Build Quality, Resale Value The Bottom Line: Due to its many issues, I cannot recommend this car. It lacks the refinement of its competitors, and is being replaced by the brand new Caliber.
Dodge has come a long way in recent years, in improving its image and overall reliability. The late 1980's to late 1990's were a rough time for this company, which was churning out subpar products that could not compete with imports and other domestics. ...

Pros: Cheap, cute, versatile, great gas mileage, great stock radio, and there's a model for everyone Cons: very few, see review The Bottom Line: Get one, they're great.
I just bought a 2005 Dodge Neon SXT 3 days ago. Mineral Gray, standard transmission, with soon to be limo-dark windows. My fiance & I are both Dodge devotees, more specifically Neon fanatics. He first introduced me to the car in 1999 when he bought his ...

Pros: Gas mileage, handling, power, smooth ride Cons: Engine not as quiet and refined as competitors (but much sportier - a trade off) The Bottom Line: A great inexpensive car that is well worth your investment.
I've owned my 2005 Neon SXT for two years now. It's loaded except for the sunroof and it has a manual transmission instead of an automatic (which I prefer). First, let me say that the 2003+ Neons have scored better in reliability (as of 2005) than ...

Pros: More than adequate power, comfy, seats actually go back!, good steering, easy to drive Cons: No SRT fun factor, resale value, model has a marred record. The Bottom Line: Basically everything you'd need, without many of the things you'd really want in a nice little, low-priced, package.
My experience : I rented an '05 Dodge Neon SXT with automatic. The experience covered a mix of highway/parkway, stop & go, and residential driving. POWER Well, this was the SXT with an automatic, so it certainly didn't have the cheek-pulling ...

Pros: Style, Price, Gas Mileage, quiet ride Cons: Quality of build, Comfort, slow acceleration, Bad 5-speed The Bottom Line: You could do better to spend your cash on a small GM vehicle, or put a few extra down a Honda civic or Toyota corolla. These cars are better quality.
Todays compact cars should not sacrifice quality, comfort and style. Sadly, the Dodge Neon does indeed sacrifice all of these attributes. Before we start I want to point out that I do not drive a BMW or Lexus, I drive a 2003 Chevrolet cavalier ...

Pros: Styling, acceleration, mileage Cons: Noisy, nothing fancy The Bottom Line: If you need a cheap compact, you can't go wrong!
I've had my Dodge Neon SXT for a year and a half now. I purchased it to get into an inexpensive car with good gas mileage. While the mileage has never been as good as listed, it's still better than most vehicles out there. I have put on a ton of ...

Pros: Stylish, sporty, and surprisingly comfy for a compact. Cons: It's a domestic compact. Won't win any races (unmodified.. haha) Rear crank windows!! The Bottom Line: Can't say much about reliability, considering I rented it.
But about $12k, you're getting a nice, sporty car. Parents: If your feeling generous, this would make a great first car.
Don't get too excited, The Dodge Neon turns 10 this year - and in its third incarnation - she's a bit more stylish on the outside and a bit more refined on the inside. But despite the outer shine, the SXT is no sports car and Dodge seems to have cut a ...

Pros: Low cost purchase price, gas savings Cons: Engine and suspension problems. The Bottom Line: If you're looking to save on gas maybe explore changing your driving habits if you can. This car will cost more than your savings in the end.
I purchased the Dodge Neon to save on gas but the amount of money required to continue to fix it does not justify the gas savings. The safety rating on this car is not great. It never drives well. There is always something wrong with it. I've had ...

Pros: I love the silver color, stream lined look, easy to keep clean, gas mileage, performance. Cons: Back windows are manual, fabric on seats, needs bigger trunk. The Bottom Line: I love this car and would definitely buy another one if needed. I would recommend it to anyone not wanting to spend a lot of money.
I love my Dodge Neon SXT. I've had it about a year, silver, tinted windows, nice alloy wheels it is so fun to drive. It is so reliable. I came from a Subaru Legacy Wagon and didn't think it would even come close to comparison, but it does. It is an ...

Pros: Gas Milage, style, handling. Cons: No power rear windows or doors. The Bottom Line: A great buy for the price and all the features you get.
I bought my Neon Sxt almost a year ago now used and it has given me no problems. It is just as reliable as any other car in it's class. The engine is a fine a little noisy but most car's in the class have some noise and I like the way my car sounds as I ...

Pros: Sportiness, gas mileage, great looks! Cons: None. Have had no problems with any of my Neons.
I own two, 2005 Dodge Neon SXT's and love them both! My 1998 Dodge Neon with 389,000 miles, yes that's 389,000 miles, just died so I got a 2005 Neon SXT. I wish so bad this car would come back. The Caliber doesn't even come close in looks and sportiness. A hatchback? Get real!
