Pros: Styling, seat comfort, power, interior features Cons: highway speed ride quality on large evenly spaced bumps The Bottom Line: I recommend this truck for its balance of features, comfort, and classic truck styling.
I started off like many truck buyers looking at the big 3: Ford, Chevy/GMC, and Dodge (no red-blooded American would be caught dead in one of those Japanese trucks). I eliminated Dodge quickly due to commonplace transmission problems, so I was down to ...

Pros: Smooth ride, handling, power, available options, braking
Cons: Gas mileage (remember it's a truck) few less features than prior years
The Bottom Line: Recommended. Smooth and powerful, yet strong and sturdy make this truck a good tow vehicle or an all-around utility vehicle. The extend cab offers plenty of room.
Overview: So far I love this truck! The suspension us tough, but very smooth over the bumps and the 5.3L V8 provides more than enough power for a 1/2; ton pickup. Way to go GM! Why did I buy? I think what sold me was the ride quality. It's no ...

Pros: Style, Comfort, On-Star, Performance, ride, handling & overall capabilities. Cons: Turning radius, wind noise at speed, & no bed security (tailgate lock). The Bottom Line: As an all round vehicle it excels. To avoid wind noise at highway speeds, don't pick the extended cab. Try it, if you like trucks, this is for you.
I purchased this vehicle new in July of 05, and have lived with it for 18 months now. Why did I buy this one? I had wanted a truck for a while, and in 05, at the peak of the "Employee pricing" boom, it became a financial possibility. The ...

Pros: Comfortable; excellent passenger, cargo, and towing capacity Cons: Poor fuel economy and turning radius The Bottom Line: This is a comfortable, full-featured truck with room for the family.
Styling is subjective, but I find that the Sierra is a mature, understated design compared to more aggressively designed competitors from Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, Nissan, and Toyota. The only obvious drawbacks in the exterior design are that door handles ...

2005 Gmc Sierra Extended Cab SLT2 4x4 (not to be confused with the z71 option). This truck was purchased for my mom, and being the son that I am, I wanted nothing but the best for my mother. She had saved for 10 years for a new truck. This truck has a ...

Pros: Fuel Mileage, Interior Space, Power, Interior Controls Cons: Mirrors could be much better.
What a great truck!!! This is my first diesel motor vehicle I have owned. I drive a company diesel everyday and decided I would try one of my own.
I bought it used with 3500 miles. The SLT has almost every option on it. Heated leather, 6-way power seats, controls on the steering wheel, Bose stereo system with a six cd changer, On-Star, and high idle. The seats are very comfortable, all controls are easily accessible and the rear seat is comfortable.
The 6.6 Duramax is everything I had hoped for. The mileage is averaging 18mpg with only 4000 miles and with winter blend diesel. The Allison transmission is a very fine piece of machinery.
No rattles or wind noise, the outside mirror do vibrate slightly at highway speeds. The stock mirror are a little small for towing large trailers. I had to replace a mirror and replaced both of them with the 2006 GM camper mirror, a very nice replacement.
I am very satisfied...
