Plays CDs just fine. Watch for playlist order for your own MP3s: If you rip your own MP3s then it plays them according to artist name NOT the order you placed them on the disk (or in a playlist).

Pros: Line out, Comes with headphones, ac adaptor, charges batteries
Cons: no belt clip, hard on batteries

Generally a good player with many features. Battery life is limited, especially when set to random. Idle current 120 milliamps, peak current over 300 milliamps when the CD is spinning and the read head is searching.
