Pros: Finely chopped, nicely ground items, attractive, easy to use, easy to clean, light-weight Cons: Must precut some items to ensure even-ness, Longer cord desired.
The Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus was a wedding gift. We previously had a no name mini processor and registered for the Cuisinart because of its reputation and the size was just right for our kitchen and needs. Description: The mini prep plus has a ...
Pros: works great for coffee beans and nuts Cons: short cord, uneven chopping, have to make pieces smaller before putting in
A little over a year ago my husband thought that I needed something to help cut my prep time in half for making meals. However things did not really work out as my well meaning husband had hoped. I think I spent as much time cutting up things before ...
Pros: Small Cons: Doesn't make uniform pieces, still to dirty knife and a cutting board
I received the Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus Processor as Christmas gift. No, not from my husband. And yes, I did ask for it. I was excited to find jobs for it to do. Once I did, I was not impressed and this small chopper. It soon found ...
Pros: Perfect for quick everyday chopping and grinding of small quantities. Easy to use and clean. Cons: None.
Over the years we have become accustomed to using little food processors for small daily chopping and pureeing tasks. Most were inexpensive and underpowered with containers and lids that easily cracked or broke (particularly if accidentally dropped). ...
Pros: Great little kitchen tool for a live-alone guy! Cons: Removing food requires care to avoid allowing food bits to spill out the center shaft.
This review is for the Cuisinart DLC-2A Mini Prep Plus (Food) Processor. I admit, I'm NOT an expert! I'm a bachelor who has been, for much of my adult life, eating in great restaurants throughout the world. That should not be considered ...
Pros: Reliable, convenient, works well Cons: Will puree softer veggies, can't chop chocolate
I love my Cuisinart mini prep processor. I received it as a Christmas gift, and have been using it for a year and two months now. It works just as well today as the day I first used it. I would estimate that I use it on 3-4 occasions per week, so that ...
Pros: Small size. Powerful motor for grinding coffee/ice. Cons: Motor too powerful. Even on low speeds.
The Cuisenart mini-prep food processor seemed like a great idea when I bought it for $50. I had been hesitant to buy a full sized Cuisenart because I am usually cooking for myself. I did want to reduce the amount of preparation time and dishes I would ...
Pros: Small, attractive, powerful enough. Cons: No "constantly on" feature, rather noisy.
Before I got my mini-prep I had to rely solely on my blender or my (very) big Cuisinart to make baby food for my little one Josie. Unfortunately, the blender can't make a consistently chunky puree, nor can it make a super-fine puree like you find in a ja ...
I got this Cuisinart Mini Prep Food Processor as a baby shower gift. I use it just about once a week when I prepare baby food for my 6 month old son. My routine is usually to steam all the veggies/fruit first, puree them using my handy mini food ...
Pros: Size, convenience, ease of use and cleaning. Cons: Plastic component around blade is cracking.
This is a very good small food processor, useful for tasks such as grinding nuts or breadcrumbs; chopping onions and garlic; blending salad dressings and mayonnaise. Other reviews have commented that when chopping, pieces are not uniform in size, ...
Pros: Basic small batch chopping where appearance and water content are unimportant. Cons: Workmanship (stopped four months after warranty) Made in China Poor Customer Service No Needed Parts
A gift & Customer "Service"The Cuisinart Cast Metal Mini-Prep Plus Processor was given to me as a gift. We used the machine four or five times a week for small tasks. The processor came with an eighteen month warranty. At ...
Chopping onions just got easier! by hindyg ,Sep 29 '03
Pros: Small, Easy to Use, Easy to Clean, easy to store Cons: Only one blade, Not so much power
I received this food processor as a gift recently, and am very pleased with my newest appliance. I already own a large cuisinart so I was bit apprehensive since I didn't think I would need something like this.
I found its great for small things like onions or making just enough pesto for an evenings meal. It is nice and compact so I don't have to lug out my heavy cuisinart for such a small task.
The only problem I have seen is its lack of power, but I more or less expected that with such a small appliance.
Be careful when disassembling. by new_homeowner ,Apr 24 '04
Pros: Size Cons: Clean-up
We received this as a wedding gift. It's a great size - perfect for making homemade salsa and salad dressings. I would like to caution others to keep the lid ON when removing the barrel part from the mechanical part - I ended up making a mess of the kitchen when I didn't realize it didn't take as much effort as I thought to release the barrel portion. Other than that, it's a good little machine.
Cuisinart Mini Food Processor by mkforu ,Dec 19 '08
Pros: It is small and does a good job of grinding and chopping food Cons: None at this point.
I bought mine a few years ago at Sears. I mostly use it for grating blocks of Parmesan cheese to put up in the freezer but have used it to chop vegetables like onions and carrots and also to make bread crumbs for recipies. It is easy to disassemble and to clean. The price was good also. I believe it's a good value for a mini-processor.
Don't get it at all, what a waste! by kajal ,May 19 '06
Pros: Small, does not do its job right... Cons: Onion pieces were not even
I brought the food processor, and am extremly disappointed the way it chopped my onions and tomatoes. I pressed the chop button and it turned it into puree. The onions were not chopped on equal size, half the pieces were big and half of them were small, and rest became puree
