Pros: Easy to use, effective, powerful, quiet, fun. Cons: Had some problems with aerator, but these were solved.
I'm a very cautious consumer, so I spent almost a year researching various portable washers before deciding on the Danby DWM99W. I knew I wanted a washer with about 10lb capacity, and that I wanted an agitator rather than a pulsator (The pulsator ...
I have owned my DWM99W washer for 8 months. First the water level never fills to a proper level. It is always too low and you have to manually add water. Secondly the first rinse cycle is not long enough. It does not remove enough soap. Thirdly the spin ...
Pros: Powerful cleaning action
Stainless Steel tub

Easy to follow manual Cons: Must elevate hose
hoses don't look that durable, but not sure
I was looking for a portable machine to wash not only our family laundry but cloth diapers as well. I was nervous because I really wanted a powerful machine that got the diapers CLEAN! I did a lot of research and decided on this because of the ...
Pros: Portable, quiet, light weight, and cleans well. Cons: No aerator fitting for the tap quick connect. Longer discharge hose would be nice.
We sold our home last year and moved into an apartment for the time being. We hated using the apartment building's machine so we looked around for a portable. We could not find one till this summer. It was the Danby. We did not buy the Danby because ...
Pros: Great for apt dwellers. Small and fits in a corner. Does a great job. Cons: Only 9.2 lbs capacity, so careful not to overfill.
I almost got the other Danby until I realized it was not fully automatic and I also considered the Haier because of the reviews but now I have this particular Danby (better price for its size) and I am in love with my little washing machine! I am in ...
Pros: Cleans clothes well, quiet, easy to install and use, great for small spaces. Cons: Drain hose leaks after 8-9 mo.
Yes, the same old story - my fiance and I were sick of dragging giant bags/baskets of dirty clothes to the coin laundry. We live in an old (c. 1920s) building with no hookups, so we decided to investigate. I like to think I'm a "wise buyer", so I spent 3 ...
Pros: cleans clothes awesomely...at home!!

works with my faucet! Cons: all cords could be longer
dont like the hanger on the drain hose.
i would do just about anything to get out of doing my laundry at the laudromat. it was inconvient, i had to work my time around their hours, and basically it would ruin my day. i considered just moving to a place with a washer and a dryer or with the ...
Pros: Quiet, small but full strength. It's amazing! Cons: None
After much deliberation and researching on the internet I decided to go with Danby after realizing I wanted a bigger machine then the Haier and better customer service if need be. Well I haven't needed Danby's customer service because this little ...
Pros: Cost, performance, space saver, very quiet and easy to use Cons: Can't think of any.
I bought this machine from the BeverageFactory.com and I am pleased with it. When it arrived (had it shipped via ground), I opened up both the outer box and inner box and noticed that the washer was damaged as if someone/something had dropped it too ...
Pros: Cute Visually. Cons: Leaks underneathe, leaks around cord. Knob fell off, agitation does not work.
I don't know what machine everyone else here has that gave this piece of junk good reviews, but I sure wish I had that one! I bought this thing because of the reviews here on this site. BIG mistake. Where doesn't it leak? It leaks ...
A good washing machine for the price by mattwimmer ,Sep 15 '03
Pros: Small; handy quick connect; all basic features are there; fairly inexpensive Cons: Small capacity; must elevate drain hose; not sure about durability
I exchanged a Danby DTT420 washing machine for this one (see my other review). For a few dollars more this is far superior. I have only used it a few times but it has all the basic features you would expect on a larger machine. Additionally, it has a quick connect that lets you hook it up to a sink if you don't have normal washer hookups (a big plus since I don't). It seems to do a great job on clothes. The capacity can best be described as moderate but OK considering the size. One thing I didn't like is that the drain outlet has to be elevated at least 26" to work properly, but this is minor. Also, the controls appear to be a bit fragile, and I doubt I'll be sending this off with the kids to college. However, considering that the only other comparable washer (the Kenmore 2 cubic foot) is nearly $200 more I think it is a good deal. Of course, for the same money you can buy a full size washer, but if you don't have the hookups or the space this one is just the thing.
Pros: Quiet, functional, Easy hook-up, different wash settings. Cons: My first hose leaked, but I replaced it with the other hose it comes with.
I love this machine for washing everything---it is like a regular size washing machine, but you don't fill it as full! It is fully portable, easy to hook and unhook, quiet, and doesn't move while washing.
It has different options as to how long you want to wash and how many rinse and spin cycles and one can stop it anytime and restart or re-rinse. When in portable mode you select the temperature.
Pros: quiet, can control cycles, easy to attach, no pipe modifications needed. Cons: Need better attachment of the pipe to the sink.
Engineers did a very good job. I cannot think of a better design. It is simple and works great. Quiet operation, clean result, gentle on clothes. Users have great control on cycles, may add washing time or additional rinse cycles. It is portable for me, I can easily move it. I would like to thank Danby for a great product. I regret I did not buy this earlier.
Not really a Danby problem, but it seems that in the US (unlike China and India) not everyone is allowed to have a washing machine at home. Shelter Creek condo association impose $500 fine on anyone found to have a washing machine at home, even unplugged and peacefully stored. May be people are supposed to go to public laundry and risk contracting hepatitus or parasites. So, please, check your association rules.
awsome, fun to use and sooo quiet! by forhan ,Nov 26 '06
Pros: quiet, easy to maneover around, good results, great price! Cons: drain pipe and electrical cord could be longer
I switched from my old trusty danby twin tub portable, to this machine. Excellent price, very effective washer. My wife and I couldn't get over how quiet this unit is, which is great because we live in an apartment. Takes a good size load and being a totally automatic washer, ya can imagine how relieved I am to have it!
Pros: Washes very well! And quickly! Cons: The caster wheels will not roll on anything except hard flooring.
I live in an apartment building, and hated using the building's laundromat, even when the machines were actually working. Did some research and fell upon this one. It's great! Cleans really well! Smaller drum than permanent washers, but I can still fit a few pairs of jeans in with a bunch of other clothes, so it's got plenty of room.
When I was first setting it up, I realized that the piece that came with it to adapt directly to the sink had stripped threads, but it is easily replaced with a part you can find anywhere.
Oh, and the best price I was able to find (in Canada) was at WalMart.
