Another Toaster???
by itsletty ,Sep 21 '04
Pros: Looks, Slots the right size for large pieces of bread Cons: Performance, price
This was the fourth toaster I purchased within a week. Why you ask. I don't know. I just want a toaster that works well. This one looks great. Has easy to read dials and defrost and bagel options. Unfortunately it doesn't work well. The toast just doesn't brown evenly. I had a DeLonghi Retro 4 slice toaster that did the same thing. I thought maybe it was just the toaster. Apparently DeLonghi puts more money into making their toasters look good but not enough into making them perform well. This one went back to the store. I don't think I will ever purchase another DeLonghi again.

DeLonghi Model # CTM-2023 - DO NOT PURCHASE !!!
by skigalini ,Oct 26 '07
Pros: Looks pretty. Cons: This is GARBAGE people! DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!
I paid about $60.00 for this piece of junk that lasted about 5 months. If we do not pop up the toast manually, guess what? The toast burns and the smoke alarms in my house activate. The warranty on the DeLonghi toaster is only 30-days (now I know why). It looks rugged and retro. I thought I would be using this toaster 10-years from now. FAT CHANCE! Yesterday, I threw it in the garbage. Guess what, for $32, I just purchased a Hamilton Beach Classic Chrome toaster, model # 22559, which carries a 1-year warranty. Hmmm. The Hamilton Beach is half the price, twelve-times the warranty as compared to the DeLonghi toaster. Do yourself a favor, don't waste your time purchasing the WAY overpriced, cheaply made DeLonghi 2-slice toaster. Even the small selection buttons on this toaster stopped working properly after about 3 months. CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!
