Pros: 20.1" screen, multiple inputs, performance, price Cons: price, energy use, 1600x1200 resolution for best picture and text quality, lack true black
The Dell UltraSharp 2001FP 20.1 inch LCD monitor... what can I say? With The Lord of the Rings showing the third part of the trilogy this winter, it's appropriate to call my latest tech acquisition my precious... at least for now! The 2001FP ...
Pros: Price, Picture, Response rate, 1600x1200 resolution, multiple inputs. USB 2 hub.
Stand, and Size. Cons: Screen door effect, Not true 32 bit color,
I want all to know that each person has different eyes/vision and each person experiences LCD monitors differently, below is my experience, which is purely subjective. Some people do not like what they see, when they watch an LCD monitor in motion. Glad ...
After my trusty and well worn Viewsonic 19" CRT started to show signs of dying, I decided it was time to upgrade and go for an LCD panel display. Immediately, I was disappointed with the specifications of most of the displays on the market. Most 19" ...
Pros: Hardly any glare! Little image distortion, great resolution, no image change w/ movement, inexpensive Cons: Hard to clean, brightness may prematurely fade, finicky USB
I have to be one the luckiest web developers alive - we just got a SECOND of these babies for work as dual monitors! I was happy as a purring kitten when we had just one. I have a college degree background in imaging and photography technology so a good ...
Pros: Nice, large LCD for the price. Cons: No cons that would keep me from buying or using it.
I had avoided purchasing an LCD for a long time, mostly because I get could a high quality 21" CRT for the same price as a 14" lcd, which had poorer viewing angles and response time. Since the monitor is the part you look at every second while using ...
Pros: bright, very large screen, small bevel. easy menu. good colors. usb ports on frame Cons: cant think of any...
I just picked up two of these units to replace 2 17" dell lcds and couldn't be happier. I paid $650 average each with coupons. the 1600X1200 screen is amazingly sharp and no dead pixels on either unit which was great. i have 8 lcds with 2 17's, 2 ...
I just received my 2001fp and all can say is WOW!!! Before I bought it I read great reviews and some not so great. I'm very picky about picture quality. The monitor the 2001fp replaced was a two year old 22" Sony Trinitron, and I can't believe the ...
Pros: Resolution, design, multiple inputs, price (relative), 16 ms refresh rate! Cons: Brightness a little too high, no video adjustment via digital connection
I ordered this monitor directly from Dell. I placed the order an a Monday and had the package at home Thursday morning. I must say that I read a lot about this monitor before purchasing it. I am very pleased with what I have seen so far. ...
Pros: Massive display, wonderful response time, great looks...a whole lot of monitor, in short Cons: Lack of true black, Mild screendoor effect, edgelighting issues, hefty pricetag
In a time and age where performance is everything (at least to those who care about such things), Dell has once again shown their ability to produce an industry leading product at a relatively reasonable price. They have succeeded in delivering to we ...
Pros: A good display can last for years, and this is a really good display. Cons: Stupid cable holder at the back of the display.
It is hard to make a commitment to buying a pricey 20" LCD display without psyching yourself up to love it. As a result, there are a lot of glowing reviews here. This one won't be much different. I got a 17" flat panel at work a couple of months ...
Pros: no idea ... I can't turn the monitor on without the ac adapter Cons: Missing components. Worst customer service experience of my life. No documentation in box.
Recommended: I ordered a refurbished Dell Ultrasharp from Dell's outlet. They included a standard 120v computer power cord in the box (the kind that connects most computers to an electrical outlet) but unfortunately the power port on the screen is a ...
Pros: Excellent image quality. Vibrant colors. Solid construction. Great 30 day satisfaction guarantee. Cons: Big price tag.
I just got my new baby today and it is superb. I have never before seen an LCD with such quality of picture and construction. Prior to this monitor I had a 19" Dell CRT Trinitron. Although I may have lost a bit of sharpness on some things I think that ...
Pros: Small, space saving
USB Hub is very handy
Display looks brilliant
Very little glare
Cons: Available add-on sound panel not well publicized.
After contemplating its price tag for a few months, and watching the specials dell periodically offers, I picked up this beauty for 25% off. It creates a lot of free space on my desk, which I love. I was a bit nervous about buying this, mostly ...
Anyone else experience this by antknee123 ,Jan 29 '07
Pros: Nice when you first get it Cons: 2 years and it is shot!
2 year old and now the left half of the screen is nothing but vertical stripes. Occasionally it will work, but for the most part the right half is always working, but the left half is garbled. Anyone have this problem?
Pros: Cheap, good resolution, good design, good Dell warranty Cons: Uneven backlight, prone to dead pixels
I had this monitor for 2 years, it served me very well. Although it is common and somewhat outdated for 2006, it was good in 2003.
Good resolution and response times. Good base design and VESA mount compatible. Lots of other inputs available, but nothing really looked good except for DVI or VGA. Is does have a USB hub built-in which comes in quite handy for plugging in devices and USB keys, etc.
I think overall, if you can get this monitor for a good price, $375 or cheaper then it is a great deal, otherwise you could do better with any 20in. But, always make sure of these 2 things:
1. 1600x1200 resolution
2. DVI connection
Without the DVI an LCD panel cannot deliver the sharpness it is designed to deliver.
