Pros: the two singles are witty, if nothing else Cons: see title
Apologies in advance if that title offends you Over the past couple of months, I've seen some people express surprise that Bowling For Soup had not broken through more than they already had with a pair of minor hits that got tepid top 40 ...
Pros: very catchy & witty punk-pop, they're a local band (for me anyway) Cons: really none in my opinion
Alright, I'm branching out here. I pretty much stick with either Beauty or Kids & Family reviews, and this is my first music review...if it sucks, don't say I didn't warn you! The Band I would guess that a lot of you may not be familiar ...
Pros: Great CD in general. Cons: At times, they can sound like the infamous number bands. (Sum 41, Blink 182, etc.)
Anyone who stands near the boys in Tripp Fontaine for longer than 3 seconds will hear some pretty wild stories about Bowling for Soup. It's going to happen, deal with it and move on. The stories are more humorous, however, when you actually know who...
Pros: Funny, cheeky pop rock anthems to be enjoyed sober or totally hammered! Cons: Pretty much standard Blink 182.
So, this isn't one of those breakthrough, one of a kind albums. Bowling For Soup aren't one of those unique bands. But Drunk Enough To Dance is not about originality. It's about four fat guys rocking out and giving it their all with funny lyrics and...
Pros: Good voice, good tunes, good lyrics Cons: can get repetitive quickly
Anyone who has heard any of Bowling For Soup's songs so far will enjoy most of the songs on this album. Mainly because all of the songs sound so similar, but each has a difference that you get used to the more you listen to it.
A good thing that...
Pros: Very hip! Great sound! A band that is going somewhere! Cons: Can't get it out of your head!
I have to admit in this day and age it takes a lot to go to a music store and actually buy a CD. It has been well over a year since I have heard something that has interested me enough to do so. The song that got me interested was "Girl all the Bad Guys W ...
Pros: fun, catchy, punky, strong lyrics, I like it Cons: A little annoying at first
I like to buy things so I bought this, lol. Well, actually I heard about it on the radio. This has got to be one of the greatest CD's I have ever bought. At first, I thought there were only about 3 good songs but after listening through a few times I was hooked.
Pretty soon I was singing the songs by heart. All the songs were amazing. My favorite songs are Cold Shower Tuesdays and Emily. This band is hilarious too. They sing about things that we can all relate to. Like wishing you ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend will turn gay(if I were a guy.)
Get this CD if you want to buy lots of fun, and emotion. Be warned, you must listen to this a few times to warm up to the music, but then you'll get hooked. Great guitar playing, suitable vocals, and fantastic lyrics.
By the way, did you hear Bowling For Soups version of "hit me baby". Way better than Britney's.
Drunk Enough to Dance...oh yeah! by spasticloser ,Dec 13 '04
Pros: upbeat, easy to remember Cons: none
First I have to make some correction to some other reviews i saw. The bands is originally from Wichita Falls, Texas but they are now saying they are from Denton, Texas. Their real names our: Jaret Reddick, Erik Chandler, Chris Burney and Gary Wiseman. They are amazing. The songs on the album are catching and up beat. They put on an amazing concert with all the songs off the album.
