Pros: Great quality and sound. Cons: Classic acoustic problem, no pickups.
This was my first guitar so I am probably slightly partial to it but I do think it is an extraordinary guitar, specially for the price. I spent a little over $200 on the sunburst colored guitar and I like the sound that comes out of this...
Pros: Inexpensive, well built, easy action and nice sound. Cons: None.
Everyone has their talents, and everyone's talents come in different measures. I've been playing guitar for more than twenty years now, and for fifteen or so of them, I've realized that I'm just not ever going to be Jimmy Page.
Pros: price, quality of finish and sound Cons: none
The Epiphone PR-100 is a great budget model steel string acoustic guitar. My son purchased an ebony model and has been very pleased with its quality, sound and durability. This instrument has a large balanced bluesey sound that is very impressive for an...
Pros: Great price - good quality Cons: Not a solid top
One day at age 27 (then) I was talking with a friend about "things we wanted to do but never did." One of mine was to learn to play guitar. I have always loved the instrument - in all genres from rock and roll to classical. So, I decided...
Pros: Low cost for it's mid-range feature set. Cons: Loses tune faster than mid-range guitars.
I am an extremely amateur guitar player, I'll admit. I wanted an acoustic guitar to play around with that was good quality, but low priced. A friend of mine recommended the epiphone guitars for specifically that reason. I did a little product...
Pros: Good price, great sound Cons: Body kind of big
The Epiphone PR-100 acoustic guitar is an excellent beginner's guitar. If you are just learning how to play, and want a good guitar at a fair price, you should look into this one. Epinions says the price is $249, but if you pay that much at your local ...
Pros: Great sounding guitar and built well. Replaced the one that got severly damaged. Cons: Doesn't hold up well to girlfriends who get jealous of it.
Don't get confused between the PR-100 and the DR-100. Musician's friend sells the DR-100. Though similar in appearance, the PR-100 is by far better quality, but it is also an older version.
Good Sound; great price by fergusnutzak ,Jan 05 '04
Pros: Great price; nice sound; looks great Cons: None experienced
Purchased from Musicians Friend for $99. Dec/ 03 .Looks and sounds great, nice to play even if the body is on the large size. I found that I have better control playing on the left leg "classical style" neck at 10 oclock.I have the Vintage Sunburst color. Plays better than the $400 Iba*** Ael model that had frets you could cut your fingers on! Stays in tune. I replaced the original strings with a combo Martin Silk/steel,& D'Addario for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd strings. If you can still find one of these, I highly recommend buying it.
