I purchased the ATI in order to transfer some old VHS tapes to DVDs. It handled the job very well. Our wedding video came out wonderfully.
The other thing that I purchased it for was to be able to watch TV while working at my computer. The TV tuner is not what I would have expected for the price. First, the picture quality is only OK at best. I have it hooked up to cable TV, and many of the channels are fuzzy and have poor color while some of them come in perfectly. I think that they need to improve their scanner. The second problem that I have is that everytime that I start the TV, it runs through the setup to scan the channels, pick the audio source, etc. This takes about 2 minutes to run through. I contacted their support about it, and after one email in response, (which did not fix the problem) I have not been able to get any acknowledgement of any of my emails. It's been 4 weeks since I last heard from them, so I can't even return the card.

Too many lockups due to a supercard with inadequate mere mortal drivers. Catalyst 3.2 included. High expectations met by disapointing performance. it's back to Invidia and my old Hercules 3D Prophet Ultra. Very Stable Card.
