Pros: Fantastic image quality, tight blacks, great colour, amazing resolution Cons: Factory settings are a little colourful (easily fixed)
I purchased the AV-32F703, but this review could also be for the AV-32F803 - which is the same television, just with picture in picture (whereas the 703 does no have PIP).
First off, I went into the TV store as a die hard Sony loyalist. I've...
I did a lot of research into buying a TV. I even talked to a cable rep about the advantages and timetable for HDTV in our town. He said to wait till 2009 to buy an HDTV. TV stations should have all the bugs worked out by then. The last one I bought ...
Pros: Great picture sound & price. Easy setup that does not require a manual. Cons: A better remote is needed, I can not dispose of my DSS remote.
Excellent picture quality, the sound is more than adequate for me. The ability to change the aspect ratio is an added plus that is welcomed. Component jacks are not all used in my case. I would like to have an additional s-video jack. Minimal set up time...
Pros: Amazing Picture, BBE sound, remote, proven reliablity. Everything about it. Cons: Damn heavy
My life has changed. Now I am complete.
I own both a Panasonic 27" and a JCV 27" set. Both are very good televisions with all the picture and sound enhancements they had to offer at the time. I had just finishing my basement and had...
Pros: Great picture.Small Remote.Great Sound. Cheap price Cons: Very Heavy
This JVC TV is nice. The picture is very clear and gives out great sound. The remote for this TV is very small wich is nice. One bad thing about this TV is that it is very heavy. It took two men to bring it in to my house. We bought this TV because ours broke. The price we paid at Best Buy was around 300.00. I thought that was a pretty good price.
Don't buy a JVC! Unless 2 years is enough. by gmarsha11 ,Mar 10 '05
Pros: It looks nice when it's turned off. Cons: TV is NOT reliable and the customer service is nearly non-existent.
I will never buy a JVC product again. After only 2 years, this one turns itself off after 3-5 seconds. Then I have to unplug it and plug it in to get it to turn on again -- for another 3-5 seconds.
I call for tech support, they tell me they can only help me with simple operation stuff like changing channels or setting the clock! They tell me to call a local repair shop.
It's going to cost me $50 just to find out how much more I have to spend to fix it. I think I might be better off to junk it and buy a Magnavox. I have three of those that are 5, 8 and 10 years old and have never had a problem.
High Pitched noise problem by golf_rod ,Oct 03 '05
Pros: Good picture, good sound, cheaper than Sony. Cons: No picture-in-picture. High pitched sound problem.
I've had the TV for over a year now. The picture is great and the price was right. BUT, it has started to emit a high pitched tone. 6 months ago, it was an occasional thing. Lately, it emits the tone most of the time it is on. Will try to get it repaired.
I've only had this TV... by daves_dt3000 ,Jan 21 '03
I've only had this TV for a week, but so far I'm happy with my purchase. I compared it to a Toshiba 32" flat screen (I can't remember the model #) which was $50 cheaper at Best Buy, but I liked the sound from this JVC much better, plus the remote had more features on it. I watched the Star Wars II DVD on it and I thought the picture was great...I just used the RCA connections too...I haven't tried the component connections yet. I would recommend this TV for those in the market for a nice flat screen!
