Pros: Efficient, great bass and clarity. Cons: Larger than satellites are, but what a difference in the sound.

VERY excellent center channel speaker
by catharsis147 ,Jan 21 '04
Pros: bi-wiring, construction, beauty, sound Cons: Treble could be shelved off a little at the 10 to 20 khz range
What makes this a good center channel? To start, the wide-dispersion horn allows anyone sitting off center to hear the dialogue of a movie or cd as crystal clear sitting off center as sitting on. Treble and mid range are crisp and detailed, with a slight brightness for the upper ranges of the treble range (a characteristic you either love or hate, chiefly due to the intrinsic qualities of horn-loaded tweeters). I personally find this proclivity pleasant though it can be subdued if the grille is left on. Build quality is solid and heavy, especially compared to most center channels in this price range. The real gem of this center channel is the bi wiring capability, which opens up the mid range section tremendously when performed. Also, this speaker looks stunning with the copper woofers! And let us not forget SENSITIVITY (this speaker can get LOUD). This speaker, simply put, is highly recommended.
