Pros: Decent Bang for the Buck, Includes USB cable & Ink Cons: All-In-One Function Runs through the computer for everything.
Lexmarks X1185 printers could use a bit of improvement, but with the inexpensive overall price per package, it has proven to be somewhat useful and a decent investment. I would personally recommend light usage of the printer for photos, and ...
Pros: *Good print results *Easy to install *Easy to use I can make copies! Cons: *Expensive ink cartridges *May be too slow for some
For our 29th Anniversary my darling husband bought me a Lexmark X1185 Printer/Copier/Scanner. I’ve been wanting a copier for quite a while, making copies at home is so much easier than having to run to Staples to get them made! I have been ...
Pros: It works o.k. for the price. Cons: If you're looking for a high end quality photo worthy printer? Keep looking.
The old adage, "You get what you pay for," comes to mind when I use Lexmark products. I suppose that's because they have a comparable low end price tag, but I have never seen one that prints well enough for me to use it for any serious endeavor. This ...
Pros: Simple setup, good quality, low price Cons: Can be an ink hog.
It slices, it dices, it makes Julienne fries… oh, wait, that’s the wrong product. But the Lexmark X1185 DOES do a lot of different tasks, and does them pretty well, especially considering its small (read: MINISCULE) price tag. The unit prints in both ...
Pros: Excellent software, easy to use, good quality in all modes. Cons: Small ink cartridges but can be refilled.
First let me say that I only paid $38.88 for this unit at Wal-Mart. It replaced a Canon that was 3 years old and need a new print head that was going to cost $58 plus shipping. Buying this was a no brainier! The printer installation was easy and the ...
Pros: Fast, great quality prints, software is easy to use. Cons: Sometimes a little noisy, expensive ink.
The Lexmark X1185 All-In-One does exactly what it says on the box. It prints, scans and copies. If you are looking for something cheap and easy to setup this is the printer for you. If you are technically inclined you can even combine the copy/scan ...
Pros: Good price, small space required, easy to install and connect, good features. Cons: None for the price.
We bought the Lexmark X1185 all in one when we bought a new computer that ran Windows XP. Unfortunately, we didn't do much research, and didn't know that our Windows 98 SE software wouldn't run on XP. We tried all the internet tips for compatibility ...
Pros: easy to use software, good quality, b&w speed, separate ink cartridges Cons: no USB cable
My old Hewlett Packard with new cartridges refused to print. While trying to decide whether it was the printer or the cartridges I checked the prices of some new printers. Found this Lexmark X1185 on the internet for $39. For that price I couldn't ...
Pros: watching it float down the hudson river Cons: watching it SINK to the bottom of the hudson....
I would NOT buy another Lexmark, would not even take a free lexmark from anyone, the aggravation and the expense of the ink is not worth it. This model is a enormous ink glutton. It will bankrupt you with the ink it goes through. ...
Pros: Economical, easy to use, works great, looks good, Cons: Ink packages looked small
I've only had mine a little while but it does a great job and works excellent. It was very reasonable to purchase ($79), and even easier to setup. This is coming from a person who is not electronically inclined.
Great Bargain - Easy to Use Highly Recommended by curdmor ,Oct 27 '05
Pros: Easy to set-up, simple to use, all features work well. Cons: Have not found any cons for this product.
I bought my Lexmark X1185 from Wal-Mart for about $55. You cannot beat the price for the features: scanner, copier, printer.
It is very easy to set-up and only takes minutes from box to be able to use this printing wizard. If I can set the thing up then a four year old child can do.
Totally happy with the printing features. The scanner works very well and ditto for the copying feature.
I have not found any negatives and would recommend this all in one printer to anyone who is shopping for one.
Pros: Speed, Cost, Quality Cons: Loud noise at startup. No cable.
I have only had it for a week but have used it extensively already. Our last printer was a 5 year old Canon . My wife prints 60 pages of a newsletter each month and we wore it out. When we got it home the first thing we did was to finish her newsletter. It did it fast and with acceptable quality. The only problem was ink usage but I think I have that solved. The default was normal quality and since then I have switched it to quick print and it is much faster with less ink. We saw hardly any drop in quality. I did refill the black cartridge the first night and it was simpler to refill than the Canon. I anticipate the color cartridge to be easy also. I have refilled for years and I wanted a printer with just a black and color cartridge instead of all the individual ones.
It was very easy to install and the software is very user friendly. Also, on high quality and photo paper it prints a good photo.
Pros: Printing Speed; High quality; Design Cons: Small cartridge; Black ink goes fast
I got this printer because my old printer broke and would not print anymore. I got this printer and loved it. I like how fast it prints and how the color ink lasts a long time.
One thing I don't like is that the black ink goes really fast. But it prints high quality in color. The ink cartridge look small. Overall this printer is a good printer. It is not good if you print more than 35 pages a week but still a great printer. The design is great.
Pros: Copier, Fax, Printer, Scanner all in one. Quality results. Fast scans and copies. Cons: a little bulky, but for everything it does. That's a small price to pay.
This is simply the best printer I have purchased. The ink lasts. It rarely if ever has paper jams. It is well worth the price.
Pros: Fast, easy to install, ready to use, great price, amazing printing Cons: Uses ink fast if you don't set it right, missing a USB connection cord
This printer was on sale at Kmart for 59 bucks. We bought it in June and it has been working awesome. The printing is awesome. The scanning is awesome. The copying is awesome. I haven't tried the fax, but I am sure it would be awesome too. The printer is fast and amazing to say the least. For the price tag it is well worth it. It brings almost everything. You might need to buy a USB connection cord but other then that it is complete with two ink cartridges and an easy to set-up cd-rom disk. This is a great product and if there were two left I would have bought them both...
Thanx to billydon59 for this for the ink usage:
The only problem was ink usage but I think I have that solved. The default was normal quality and since then I have switched it to quick print and it is much faster with less ink.
