Cons: Stainless steel collects finger prints, cooking surface hard to clean and easy to mess-up.

The Maytag MER5755QAS CleanDesign Electric Kitchen Range is a nice looking range. It was easy to install and easy to use. It does have some problems though. The stainless steel is hard to keep finger prints off of.

The smooth top is hard to keep clean and hard to clean. The surface is NOT smooth, but contains tiny pits. The razor blade provided to clean the surface with does not get into the pits. Also cooking with aluminum pots and pans will leave aluminum streaks that take some time to get off. You must make sure your pots and pans have flat bottoms. If they are not they will scuff or scratch the surface.

Other then that cooking is better then on a standard electric stove. The heating elements get hot fast and are easer to regulate. The oven is large and so is the storage drawer. I have not used the oven yet, so I can not state how well it will work with the hidden bake element, but this should make the oven easer to clean.

I just love the 12" burner. Works great with my large frying pans.
