Pros: Lightweight, easy set up, very responsive. Cons: Battery runs down if you don't remove the receiver and turn the mouse off.

Pros: Light weight, long battery life, great battery saving features Cons: I haven't found one
I purchased a laptop computer about 5 months ago hoping that I could get used to the mouse provided on the laptop. After a couple of months trying I found that I just couldn’t use the mouse on the laptop and connected my mouse that I had been using on ...

Pros: Comfortable, portable, easy to use, and inexpensive Cons: Lack of a third button
I bought the Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 3000 several months ago to use with my laptop when I'm not sitting at my desk - I have a larger wireless mouse (Logitech Cordless Mouseman Wheel, which I really like) connected to my docking station, but it ...
Pros: Easy to use, good design, very effective, and very affordable
Cons: Nothing for me, it does everything I need it to
School was starting in just two weeks. I was panicking. Not only did I have to remember everything I needed to pack, but I needed to buy a nifty new laptop because there was no way I was going to allow my dinosaur of a desktop to clutter up the tiny new ...
Pros: Excellent battery life, range, and design.
USB connector snaps mouse bottom. Cons: Battery slot cover doesn't pop up very easily.
Connect buttons don't have great success.
I obtained this mouse after purchasing a laptop which came included with it. Contrary to what one of the reviewers here said, I have been using this mouse since mid-November 2005, which by now is well over 90 days of use. Obvious it is not continuous ...
Pros: Long range, no install, and battery life. Cons: Must take receiver off computer to turn mouse off.
After getting my laptop for school, I needed a mouse. Apparently mine didn't come with one so I had to find a good deal considering the expense of the laptop. At Circuit City, I found just such a deal. I picked up this mouse for $15. It has been ...
Pros: Great value for its price. Simple mouse for average users. Cons: Disables your screen saver and some power saver modes on machines running Vista.
I bought this mouse after returning a Logitec at the same price that wasn't nearly as responsive as I had hoped. This is a great simple mouse with no bells and whistles, just two primary buttons, and a scroll wheel. The usb attachment that ...
The Mouse with no tail by johndeere931 ,Aug 06 '06
Pros: Very accurate with a nice feel. Cons: You must place the USB plug into the storage slot to turn off power.
I have been using this mouse on my laptop for about 30 days.I like the feel that it offers.Forms to the hand very well. When not in use you unplug the USB plug and it snaps into the bottom of the mouse. This is for two reasons. One to turn off the power. Two to store the USB plug as part of the mouse to prevent loss.
I would rather it have an on off switch.Rather then having to unplug it from the USB port to save batteries. However this seems to be the way with other brands as well.
The optical mouse is the way to go.Because it will work on just about any surface and no mouse pad needed.
I will have to wait and see how long the battery life will be.But a friend of mine has used the same model for several months and has not had to replace the battery.
It has a scroll wheel that works very well. The optical mouse is very responsive with accurate smooth operation.
So many lap top mice seem small however this one does not have that small feel while operating it.
Simply the best mice ever!!!! by thepcnerd ,Sep 07 '06
Pros: great Cons: none
The wirleless optical laptop mouse is great, has great traction and response time, im a gamer this mouse i highly reommecnd when playing wow, gta, bf2, coh, sims2, any games realy, works great for movie editing, web design, will last several hundred hours on 1 battery (i recommend the duracell max, or energizer lithium batteries) it has a compartment to put the receiver in when not using wich turns off the device to save abttery power, its highly compact and dureable, wount shatter if u drop it or juggle like i do, will not jam and stick, great range works well when receiver is point at a slanted angle.... i highlky recommend this couls use more rubber paddign and griping on the sides....
If Only It Would Last Longer by cfwilbur ,Aug 14 '05
Pros: No wires, compact Cons: Stops working after 30-90 days
I bought this mouse because it is truly wireless. Other wireless mice have a wire that goes from the USB port to the receiver, and the mouse itself is wireless. This one has no wires at all. The receiver plugs into your USB port without any wires. When you're ready to take your laptop, you unplug the receiver from the USB port and it snaps right into a cutout in the bottom of your mouse. This makes it very compact, with no tangled wires, and when the receiver snaps into your mouse, it even stops using the battery to ensure long battery life.
I've actually bought this mouse twice. The first time, it only lasted about 30 days, then for some reason it stopped working. I figured it was just bad luck, and even though I didn't have the box or receipt to get a refund, I spent the money again to buy the same model again. I loved it that much! This time, it lasted about 3 months and stopped working. Both the receiver and the mouse have power, but when I move the mouse the cursor just sits there. This has happened both times.
Pros: small, compact, neat storage of USB connector Cons: none yet
After reading the prior reviews, perhaps I've just been lucky. I bought one of these specifically because I liked the way the little USB connector fit into the mouse. I figured it wouldn't snag things in transport as easily. Mouse cords just get on my nerves.
Though I haven't used this mouse really heavily, I have used it routinely when I travel--say, 2-3 times weekly. I have had no problems whatsoever with it. I've had it nearly a year and it hasn't required battery replacement yet. My biggest concern is that it's so compact, that I'll leave it accidentally on a hotel room desk. Good thing it's not particularly expensive.
Though not as ergonomic as a larger mouse, I've had no problems with it.
Pros: The installation was easy and painless. My computer recognized the device with no problems. Cons: It doesn't work. Oh, and did I mention that it doesn't work?
When I saw this mouse, I thought that it would be ideal for use with my Dell Dimension 8200 laptop. The installation was a breeze... No software, just insert the battery into the mouse, and plug the receiver into a USB port. The computer immediately recognized the new hardware.
Unfortunately, trying to get the mouse to work smoothly was an exercise in futility. The operation was, at best, jerky and inconsistent, often not working at all. I tried new batteries, working on a patterned surface (the mouse would not function at all on a plain white surface), and even tried working at distances of less than 12 inches from the receiver. Nothing worked. I finally gave up, and threw it in a drawer, although I was sorely tempted to introduce it to the hammer in my toolbox.
I have seen other reports from other users who swear that this device is great, but that wasn't my experience. The mouse is cheap, but apparently you get what you pay for. I would recommend NOT buying this mouse.
Pros: Stores receiver on bottom, inexpensive. Cons: Signal range is a bit short, short battery life.
I have purchased two of these. I gave the first away to a friend as I replaced it from a Logitech. A mistake I will not repeat. I am on a PowerBook with OS X 10.4.2 and now that I have the second Microsoft mouse I am happy again. It just works and works great. I have never had any trouble with it, other than a somewhat short battery life. But since it uses only 1 AA battery I assume that is why. I get only about a month per battery. I think this the best mouse I have owned, plus the receiver looks pretty cool. Maybe the only other downside is it doesn't fit my hand as well as other mice I have used but I am used to it and don't notice anymore.
Great design, but it won't last by azthoresen ,Mar 31 '06
Pros: Great design. Worked great for a while. Cons: It won't last.
My whole family loved this great mouse until it just suddenly died. The receiver part stopped working - the connection light didn't light up and it just stopped working.
It's a comfortable fit for adults as well as small children and the range is pretty good. It this mouse were durable, I'd recommend it. But like other reviewers have said, don't buy it: it won't last.
