Pros: clarity; colors; wide viewing area; takes less room; energy-efficient; entertainment options Cons: base doesn't swivel; bit hard to connect; need adjustment so screen doesn't go black?
Author's Note--I actually bought this sceptacular flat panel monitor on Ebay (my first bidding win after months trying!), but my psychiatrist character Dr. Freudine doesn't own a computer and Irish needs to make points with her after "alienating" her. We ...

Pros: Good contrast and viewing angle. Excellent value. Cons: Weak speakers might as well have been left off.
Okay, I have to admit, this is my first LCD flat panel display. I've been a long time user of a 17" Iiyama CRT display and had always been very happy with it, but the Sceptre was an addition not a replacement to my arsenal. I added the Sceptre as a ...

Good deal for the price.

Pros: good price, good features Cons: Speakers not great, 1280 x 1024 pixels only
Finally, a 17" flat panel that's less than $300 USD!
I brought one of these monitors home from Sam's Club for $298. Of course, it had a DEAD PIXEL right in the middle of the screen! So, I returned it and got another one that works just fine.
It has built in speakers, but I don't bother to use them because they don't sound very good (I bought it for the monitor not the sound!).
I could only get the screen to look good with Windows XP set at 1280 x 1024 pixels. Keep that in mind if you don't have 20/20 vision! Everything looks kind of small.
Overall I'm pleased with this unit and it was nice to haul that boat-anchor of an old CRT screen out to the curb! My desk has a lot more room.
