Best Trackball I've ever used........

by suemccartin Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jun 03 '06
Pros: usb or ps2, uses native windows drivers
Cons: sometimes gets gummed up but easy to clean
I've had this trackball for a few years. I'm not even sure this item is even sold anymore. My laptop has one of those awful touch pad things, don't like it and can't get used to it. I prefer a trackball for the laptop because it needs less space to ...

No cleaning needed my foot!

by chrisp339 , Jul 04 '04
Pros: ergonomics, nifty buttons.
Cons: Poor control since the ball sticks when dirty. Impossible to clean effectively.
I purchased the Microsoft Trackball because my hand was getting tired from pushing the mouse around all day. Trackballs are vastly superior in this regard in that the hand is immobilized during operation, meaning that you do not stress your tendons with ...

flawed.....

by cruzion , Jun 11 '04
Pros: looks nice, relatively cheap.
Cons: the placement of the ball just doesn't work for me.
OK, so im one of the few who likes trackballs....i work 24/7 with puters, and they save my wrists. Trackball i always liked was kensingtons big square 'eight-ball' trackers. theyre excellent. I didnt want to fork out $80 - $100 tho!. so i shopped about ...

The best trackball I've owned

by darogers , Apr 26 '06
Pros: 2 programmable buttons, quick and easy installation, long life
Cons: needs the occasional cleaning.
I’ve had the Microsoft Trackball Optical for 5 years now and I still love it. Not only is it plug-and-play but it’s very simple to use. It only takes a couple of minutes to install the necessary software and program the extra buttons. I do a lot of ...

great trackball!

by onlysublime , Jul 05 '09
Pros: solid design, good software
Cons: trackball could be little bigger. tracking with thumb a little less precise than with fingers.
the funny thing is i've never used a trackball before in my life.  but my mouse started going screwy (left button single clicks would act like a double click) and the only thing i had around was the microsoft trackball optical around that my friend ...

Wonderful trackball
by darlid01 ,Feb 08 '05
Pros: Smooth, easy to clean.
Cons: limits on configuration
When I first got the trackball, I thought it was wonderful. My old trackball was so badly gummed up and it would only stay clean for a couple hours before I would have to open it up and clean it. This one stays clean for several days between cleanings, and only takes a few seconds to clean. You just pop out the marble with the hole on the bottom, and rub the fuzz off the bearings inside. Then pop the ball back in. Very easy, very fast. The only cons are that the extra buttons cannot be set to be duplicate "right click" pr "left click" buttons.

The Ultimate Gaming Mouse
by mgeviper ,Dec 31 '04
Pros: -Less Wrist Strain -Smoother Design -The ULTIMATE Gaming Mouse
Cons: -Put a Gell Pad Where The Bottom Of The Mouse Is
This is the most amazing mouse ever. For all of you hardcore gamerz, (like me) and regular home user, this is the mouse for u. It took about 5 min. to get used to, but now I love it. I originally bought a logitech pointer-finger trackball and flung it out the window that day (LITERALLY). I was tempted on buying another one after the first, but then i tried playing hitman on my friends pc, with this trackball. It was the ultimate gaming experience. All pc users need this mouse.
