Pros: Face Implementation, Easy Graphical Setup, Fun! Cons: Lengthy time to create a player
How can you not love a game that allows you to put your own face right into it!! You can actually see what you look like beside the pros!! With a very easy to use interface I wasted no time in putting my face into the game. Eric Lindros and I look...

Pros: Few new moves Cons: Not worth the money
Hrrm..I just bought NHL 2000 not to long ago, and when I played it, the only thing that I saw was different was a few new moves and it was alot harder then NHL 99. In that case, it wasnt worth the money, maybe I am just missing something here, but for a...

Pros: Great graphics, online play Cons: no payroll in season modes
I purchased this game because I am a big fan of Hockey. Me and my friend have a copy if each NHL since 1994. Although there is no huge improvement from NHL99, It is the best available. One thing that I particularly enjoy is online play, which is great (a...

Pros: online leagues, new career mode, adding your face into the game. Cons: career mode can only be played for only 5 seasons max
NHL 2000 is the greatest hockey simulation game ever made. After buying and playing NHL 96-99 I can see how much superior this version of the game is to past versions released. This new version also comes with new features which are very cool. First...

Pros: Great Graphics, Great Net Play Cons: NONE
After playing 2 games via the cable modem (directly, EA's server is flaky), I was blown away.
I was so happy I owned this game. It's about time a game like this can be played FLUIDLY via an internet connection, granted high-speed.
I...

Pros: Overall a real good game. Cons: Gets boring.
In August I went to a few gaming sites, saw a preview of NHL 2000. Now, there was no doubt in my mind that I was going to buy this game, just because Electronic Arts usually produces a great title.
Two days after it came out, my friend and I went...

Pros: Realism, smoothness Cons: Annoying commentary
This is by far the most real sports game I have ever played. Growing up in Buffalo NY I grew up with hockey. I have played, watched, followed it my entire life. I gotta tell you this captures the entire NHL hockey experience perfectly. It doesnt get...

Pros: Incredible Detailed Cons: Bad Multiplayer
EA SPORTS knows how to make sports games. I have been playing their hockey games since '93, and they always amaze me. The graphics, sound, and realism in this game is top-notch. The Career mode is loads of fun, Tournament mode is very well-done,...

Pros: Amazing graphics, awesome sound, insanely fun! Cons: AI is kinda weak and it'll never please EVERYONE.
Much has been said about EASports losing it's way and going for a more arcade style game in all of it's franchises, NHL included. However, after playing NHL2000, I'm not complaining! The game is the most fun team sports game available for PC and has...

Pros: Superb graphics and music; great control and playing style Cons: Fans in the stadium seem to be occasionally flat; players can't get a shot on goal from behind mid-ice
It seems that most problems with sports games has to do with its realism; whether it be its graphics, sound, control, options, or overall gameplay. While a good number of hockey games lack the realistic goal scoring or saves by the goalie by the angles...

Pros: Great game unbelieveably lifelike Cons: System requirements are kinda high
Finally a Hockey Game with realistic faces and moves!! Granted I never Played NHL99, but this game definatly blows away NHL98. The biggest improvements in my mind are the improved camera angles and the realistic movements of the players. This game lets...

Pros: everything Cons: nothing
To tell you the truth, I didnt buy this game. I bought three boxes of cheerios, mailed the order form for the special offer, and got it for free. (Yes, I eat cheerios!) Pretty good deal for a game THIS good.
This game just plain rocks. This is as...

Pros: Relistic difficulty levels, CPU initiated trades, Face importation to created players Cons: if you have graphics set to full it runs slow....just run it at half instead, no need to see all the peoples faces in the crowd :)
By far the best NHL game that is out for the PC, it surpasses all the old EA sports hockey games. I own NHL 98,99, and now 2000 and the diffrence isn't all the much but the little diffrences that there are, make it worth buying.
First off they...

Pros: improved graphics, gameplay, scoring Cons: more challenging defense
I have been buying hockey games ever since I bought my first computer (3 years go) and I have been impressed with one line of games-- EA Sports NHL series. The newest installation, NHL 2000, is the best yet. Improved graphics make you feel like you are...
