by yampy , Mar 01 '06
Pros: Weather - proof, Light, Sturdy, Sleek, Sexy and affordable
Cons: None as yet
With the traveling that I do these days I would not be without my trusty camera to record the events of everyday moments in time. To keep a record of all those colorful images that the minds album, even through my ageing eyes, stores up but lets them ...

It's Pretty But Is It Just A Dumb Blonde?

by underdawg Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jan 02 '05
Pros: It's purty, it's small, it's designed very nicely.
Cons: Image quality is not the best.
Important Note I am by no means a photography expert. Until I read some of Howard Creech's excellent camera reviews here, I had never heard of the term ISO before. But I don't really think that it matters as much when reviewing this camera, ...

The perfect miniature travel camera?

by deltacharlie , Nov 09 '05
Pros: Simple to use, good image quality, cool, well made, small but perfectly formed.
Cons: Not really any, considering the intent of the makers to provide a good mini camera.
I purchased one of these in Singapore on my last visit and promptly fell in love with it. I’ve got a Nikon D-70 and F-90x, which are great cameras – superb image quality, fantastic lenses and so on: but my camera bag weighs about 35 pounds and is a ...

Cute, great for family and holiday photos

by jubileel , Nov 28 '05
Pros: Cute, Can take Movies as well as Pictures
Cons: Zoom won't go in far
I received this camera as a birthday present. It came in my favorite color (turquoise) and I loved the look of it. I still adore the way it looks, especially with the giant LCD screen. It’s about the same size as my cell phone, so it's pretty ...

Good riddance to a poor design

by petekortum , Feb 16 '07
Pros: Good image quality - photo and video.
Cons: Battery life. Stylish design which detracts from usability. Reliability is suspect.
I paid less than $50.00 for a brand new (display clearance) camera and was still disappointed !!! It looks like the engineers decided to design a unique, stylish body and then make the guts fit inside - which included a battery that doesn't have enough ...

Nice, weather tight, tiny package: Verve 4 megapixel

by th55av8r , Aug 09 '05
Pros: Tiny size, weather tight, good overall picture quality, easy to use menu system.
Cons: "Jaggies" as mentioned in reviews show up under certain subjects.
I was looking for a tiny pocket size camera that was weather tight, had adequate picture quality, and had an easy to use, intuitive menu system. The Verve was one of the few cameras that had these features. The small size allows me to keep this camera ...

Stylus Verve: Neat little camera
by jobbe ,Nov 30 '04
Pros: Camera takes good quality pictures. The display is bright and fluid. All-weather design
Cons: Only 2x zoom, uses xD memory costly than CF & SD type, average battery life
When looking for a digital I had two criteria Compact size & good picture output which the Verve had. At 3.74 x 2.18 x 1.08 inch it's small and fits comfortably in you shirt and pants pockets.
The images are very good for this class of compact camera (if you want excellent image quality than look at the mid and large size cameras). The images are clear and good with very little corner blurriness and no purple fringe. The white balance was very good most of the time, images had overall good color. Don't just take my word for it look at the sample pics at various camera review sites and compare them to the Canon SD300 or the Pentax S4/4i (all are 4MP and compact camera with similar price). IMHO the SD300 had a soft misty image at times and purple fringe which was why I purchased the Verve over the SD300. Overall the Olympus Verve is a good compact point & shoot camera.

Olympus-Very fun and Easy to use!
by jemmons ,Oct 10 '05
Pros: Easy to use and compact and light and easy to take anywhere.
Cons: The memory card didn't hold hardly any pictures and the battery wore out super fast.
I bought this camera in black on ebay two months ago and I am very impressed with it so far. It is super easy to use, and I am not good at using electronics! It is small and compact and very pretty. It takes good pictures and it is very easy to downnload pictures onto my computer. The price of these are very reasonable and worth the price. I have had other olympus cameras and they always come through for me. Overall, a very nice camera.

Verve: Stylish, but is it a good performer?
by drocca96 ,Jan 03 '05
Pros: Easy to function, many shooting modes to choose from, has a cool, sleek design
Cons: It would be great if this camera had a better zoom than 2x.
The verve is a very stylish camera. It comes in 6 different bold colors to choose from, which sets apart from the average Joe colored cameras.

The body is suitable for all weather conditions, even in some rain. Note: I have only tried taking pictures in light rainfall, not pouring rain. I don't plan on taking any in the pouring rain yet, but if someone tries it, I'd be interested to know how durable it is in heavy rain conditions. An underwater camera case is available for $80, and can take pictures up to 10 ft. I have not gotten the chance to buy it yet, but I would like to.

The design is utterly amazing, and truly a conversation piece. With a body so small, it has a large LCD screen that is 1.8 inches. However, I find it rather difficult to hold the camera without loosing my grip sometimes. The box includes a strap which I make sure to wrap around my wrist when holding onto it. I wouldn't recommend this camera for those who are a bit clumsy.
