Pros: Excellent quality juice, low foam.
Easy to clean.
Quiet.
High quality construction.
Attractive design.
Cons: Some chopping of food required.
The Omega 8005 juicer is a single screw-type juicer, suitable for juicing a wide range of fruits, vegetables and leafy greens - including things that are difficult to juice such as pine needles or wheatgrass. The auger spins at 80 RPM. At this low ...
Pros: Fits the definition of a good juicer based on juicing gurus on the web. Cons: Small chute, clogs with soft fruit.
I bought the 8005 as my first juicer. It was a serious decision when you consider that I had first been looking at a LaLane model for $100. The more I read the more I drifted away from a centrifugal type machine. I spent a lot of time researching the ...
Pros: Great price, easy to use, great for spinach. Cons: Not as good with tomatoes as I hoped.
It took a few months of research but I finally bought a juicer and opted for this one based on my research. It seems the consensus is that masticating juicers are the best in terms of securing the nutritional value of your juice. The juicer is ...
Pros: Very easy to clean. Cons: Clogs with some fruits.
I recently bought the Omega 8005 after owning a jr. juicer for awhile. While shopping for juicers, I wanted a juicer that would juice wheatgrass, be easy to clean, be sturdy enough for a juice fast, and have a low RPM. Since owning the Omega 8005, ...
Pros: Motor, assembly, cleaning, juicing possibilities Cons: Has a hard time with pears and tomatoes
I have had this juicer for a month now. I purchased it after some research and decided to go for this one because of the low RPM and masticating system. This juicer works really well. It will juice hard vegetables very well (carrots, beets) and juicy ...
Masticating or centrifugal juicer? I chose this Omega juicer 8005 because it gets you more juice but at a slower more cewing pace versus a quicker centrifugal type. I chose this brand over a Champion because it has more attachments and this one says it ...
Pros: The nut butters are smooth and delicious. It masticates such greens as wheatgrass well. Cons: Jams too easily. Inefficient for time and labor.
It is a good juicer, but this, and other Omega Juicers, are not what they once were. Too much plastic is used in the parts of the machine, including the masticator. These juicers were indestructable when all the component parts were made of ...
Pros: Price, quiet, efficient, portable, versatile, easy to clean Cons: may get clogged a bit when grinding nuts, coffee beans, etc.
I have been interested in fresh vegetable and fruit juices for many years. My mother has had a grinder blade type juicer for at least 25 years. It works fine for hard things like carrots and some apples, and it is very powerful. But it is loud, ...
Pros: Price, variety of juicing options, easy to clean. Cons: Citrus will have slight amounts of wetness in the pulp.
I have had this juicer for about 2 years now and I still love it. Before I bought it, I did a lot of research into different types and brands of juicers. This one was not the cheapest, but was still reasonable. It is also a solid company that backs the ...
Pros: low price, very good yield, very easy cleanup, great warranty Cons: slower than centrifugal models; small, but average, feed tube
We're new to juicing but we love the Omega 8005 Nutrition Center. It extracts most of the juice from vegetables and fruits. The pulp is quite dry. Cleanup and assembly are quick and easy (we wouldn't use it if it were not). It is quiet. It is MUCH ...
Pros: Easy clean up
Great juices
Great "ice cream"
Really Really quiet
Well engineered Cons: It's clogged on a few things (pineapple & strawberry)
I've never owned a juicer before, but after all the reading I did decided this would be a good choice. A lot of people compare this juicer to other ones, but I can't make any comparison.
I purchased the Omega 8005 because it is considered to be versatile and does all of it's jobs well. To date I'm pleased.
I've been juicing like mad for a few weeks now! I'm amazed at how dry the pulp is when it's done; it appears to be getting a lot of juice out.
It's a snap to clean and that's very high on my list of selection criteria. I'm not big on cleaning and will not use a high-maintenance appliance. I can clean the 8005 in a matter of minutes when I'm done. Some days I've used it three times!
Pros: works great, easy to clean, fits in a cupboard Cons: doesn't take large amounts of grass at any one time
I used a cheap juicer before that was a lot of work to clean. When my husband and I decided to try wheatgrass juice I researched what kind of juicer to buy and ended up with the Omega 8005. I am very glad I did. It works easy enough and start to finish I can make wheatgrass juice in about 15 minutes (clean up and all!) There aren't that many parts to it and they all work efficiently. I haven't tried it out on other fruits and veggies but I'm sure it would be as easy and it is much better at everything that a cheaper version. I highly recommend it.
Pros: quality and flavor of the juice Cons: having to chop vegetables and fruits into small pieces
I love fresh fruit and vegetable juice. A month ago I bought an Omega Juicer 8005 after using another name brand juicer for about two years. I find there is absolutely NO comparison! This machine is amazing! I love the juice it produces. The only thing I find more time consuming is the chopping of the fruits and vegetables, but the quality and flavor of the juice makes it well worth it. I've only tried the juicing function so far but I'm looking forward to making my own pasta and peanut butter!!
I would definitely recommend this one by kwhel ,Jul 11 '06
Pros: Everything Cons: None
Very easy to use and clean and I have rhuematoid arthritis. The pulp comes out very dry so I know I getting the most juice out of the produce I use. I also use it to juice wheat grass.
DO NOT BUY THIS JUICER (8005 or 8003) VERY POOR DESIGN by me2also ,Jul 09 '06
Pros: Easy clean up. Cons: None, if you don't mind consuming plastic with your juice.
The rotating auger grinds against the juicing insert actually scraping off trace amounts of the plastic!!! I tried 3 machines of the same model all displaying the same problem. The Co. Sent me a replacement one afterwards, but the same issue persisted. The auger shouldn't make contact with the juicing insert under it; what do you think happens when plastic and metal grind together.
I'm calling the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint since the Co. just doesn't want to be bothered with the issue.
