by dkozin dkozin is a Lead on Epinions in Electronics, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Sep 14 '04
Pros: Price, features and performance, both coaxial and optical digital audio outs
Cons: MP3 playback quality could be better
Usually, as soon as the new generation of Panasonic DVD players appears, I trick myself into selling my previous player on eBay or Amazon.com marketplace and buying the newer model. My mother inherited my Pa nasonic ...

Pros: Price-to-Quality ratio, Progressive Scan, Slim-line design, Mirrorized Display, Plays almost ANY type of format imaginable
Cons: Tacky Remote Design, No On/Off for Neon Blue Light, Not available in black (yet)
After having used the faithful Panasonic DVD-RV32 as my primary DVD player for years, I wasn’t really looking to change anything. However, the purchase of my 50” Hitachi LCD TV forced me immediately to at least search for a player that was capable of ...

Great Deal
by cmcgov ,Sep 04 '05
Pros: Quality, Price
Cons: None
A friend recommended this DVD player to me. I wanted something simple to use, with good quality. It is truly amazing. The picture quality is outstanding. It never freezes or skips like others I have owned.

The slim design is a great space saver. I also own a 300 disc Sony, which frankly is a pain. Since I bought this one the big bulky Sony is sitting in the closet. I have not played MP3's on it so I don't know how the sound is in that , but the sound with CD's and movies is great.

Excellent Progressive Scan DVD Player
by rgpulliam ,Oct 19 '04
Pros: Excellent video and Audio, nice design, Multi-format playback and great price.
Cons: You must change the Video and Audio Settings to get Theater grade viewing.
I have owned a Panasonic A-110 DVD Player for about 6 Years now and it has exceeded my expectations. However, I recently purchased a Toshiba HDTV and wanted to purchase a Progressive Scan DVD Player. Given my past experience with my Panasonic A-110, I wanted to buy another Panasonic. So far, I have been very, very pleased with the Panasonic DVD S47.

Note: To turn off the Annoying Blue Neon Light on the front of the DVD Player: You press "Setup" on Remote->"Other"->FL Dimmer. You can switch it completely off or select "Auto".
The "Auto" setting automatically shuts the neon light off after 10 seconds.
