Pros: Reliable fax, easy-to-use answering device, and ink cartridge lasts a longer time than advertised.
Cons: Not fast--get a speedier one if you send LOTS of faxes, especially long ones.

I fax 2 -12 sheets at a time, but only 3 -4 times/week. This fax machine/answering machine was the right price, right solution for me. My previous machine wasn't very reliable at faxing multiple sheets, and I hate to "babysit" to make sure the pages are sent as they should be. Plus, this machine--for just about $125, at least when I bought it (Dec. 04)--offers a very reliable digital answering machine, so it allowed me to unplug one more gadget in my home office-yippee!

Copies are about as good as any I've gotten from a fax machine, and little cleaner than some I've used in the past.

The only drawback is that it isn't very speedy at copying or sending/transmitting. It's not a hardship for me with my fairly low-volume faxing (reliable sending/receiving means a whole lot more than speed to me!) but it would drive me crazy if I had more faxes to send, or many longer than 12 pages.

Pros: answering machine works great
Cons: multiple page transmissions are rarely successful. print film needs frequent replacement.

I am replacing this machine because it is so unreliable. The page feed often does not work and I frequently have to resend pages that do not transmit to recipient.

The phone dies often even when the battery is charged. The display shows 'no link to base' when this occurs. It happens even when I'm in the middle of a conversation.

The speakerphone feature is also unreliable - frequent disconnects.
