Great Deal for the Money by jandm21498 ,Jul 13 '04
Pros: Shallow depth, great picture, easy setup. Cons: After setup, you'll have alot of box and foam left to get rid of.
I recently purchased this TV with the matching TV Stand for $3200.00 at Costco and I have been very satisfied. Set up and assembly of the stand was very easy. The view from the sides is great, much better then the other projection screens that I have seen from friend's and family's projection TV's.
The picture is great with many viewing options that are easy to access. I have no regrets, I only wish I had enough money to buy on for the bedroom...like my wife would let me..lol.
I cannot see anybody going wrong buying this unit, but keep in mind, even though this TV upgrades a standard signal through line doubling, this is a artificial way of enhancing a picture and quite truly, the picture will only be good as the source feeding into the TV.
I love my PT-60LCX63 WHEN THE LAMP WORKS. I had to replace my first lamp just 6 months after purchase and the replacement lamp has gone out today (just 8 months after it was replaced). Although the picture quality is excellent, and the sound is awesome, I would not recommend this television to any of my friends.
