Pros: Lots of features for a good price and small package. Cons: Sometimes too many options to choose from.
After much research, I selected the Optio 750Z over numerous other cameras because for the price, you get the most features and the best resolution. This camera is replacing another digital camera I've had for 4 years, and I really needed the higher ...

Great value
by stives ,Feb 17 '07
Pros: Quality build and quality of images. Ease of use after studying easy to understand manual. Cons: Not everyones taste, design wise. Hey but I love it.
No longer available in the UK I purchased mine in an end of line sale £199.00. What a bargain.
Quality of images and ease of use are superb.
Style wise I like it. Reminds me of my days at college in the late 60's.
Goes with me everywhere and have got some images published using the camera for landscape work. Already covered the cost with royalties.
Brilliant.

Good and Bad
by georgepburdell ,Sep 28 '07
Pros: Macro and TIFF Cons: Eventual (guaranteed) lens drive system failure.
Yes, it takes outstanding photographs with an exceptional array of features including the closest macro on the market and TIFF format. However, I ignored the CONS that I reviewed on www.dpreview.com and it finally cost me. Pentax Optio 750 has a world wide history of lens system component failures. The lens cover failed and the spring loaded components collapsed causing the main lens drive gear to jam. The camera is now completely non-working. Pentax support is also hopeless as far as customer satisfaction. The estimate from LOUSY customer care at Pentax indicates over $300 to fix...I bought it new 2 years ago for $349. Now I have to replace the entire camera. Beware. the lens system is horrible. The camera has been on the market for some time therefore if you buy one it will probably be refurbished.

Top Notch Compact Camera

Pros: Size, Features, Swivel LCD, Battery Life, Price Value Cons: No RAW format.
I have had the 750Z for about two months now and am very impressed with it. It has preformed excellently in all shooting scenarios and is loaded with great features. The size is excellent especially for a 5x Optical zoom camera.

Great camera!
by deelynn11 ,May 14 '05
Pros: Battery life, video length, easy to use Cons: No light for video, so it has to be bright enough to shoot
I love this camera! I still have my film cameras and video cameras, but I wanted a digital that also took some video to have them both in one. After researching the different brands and reading many reviews, I thought this would be the best option. People said it had good battery life, a pretty good flash, and was a good size. They were right. One of my favorite things about it is the ability to take either still photos or video. Most of the other cameras I looked at had a maximum time of 3 minutes for video. This camera will take video footage up to the capacity of your SD card. I have a 1GB and it can take up to 30 minutes. It's perfect for me as a teacher because I have both options at my fingertips. And the same goes for me as a traveler. I don't have to worry about which cameras to take, I just take my Optio 750Z!

Love this Camera
by lckyforme ,Aug 01 '06
Pros: Great photos Cons: None
We have had this camera for about a year now and still love it. The pictures are fantastic, and you can blow them up because of the greater megapixel. Yes, it has options, but that's why you pay more for a camera. I got mine shortly after they were released and it was 519.00. You want options to be able to capture great high quality pictures for that price. Read your book and you'll understand everything about this camera and you'll be taking pictures you never knew you could.
