I Won't Let it Out of My Sight

by pillowphat , May 14 '03
Pros: Easy to use, great price for lots of storage
Cons: Sometimes a little cumbersome, not as portable as some other MP3 players
Wow. Just... wow. I was a pretty dorky teenager and never really caught onto the Walkman/Discman thing. I've been a reader all my life and have always preferred to have a book in my hands than almost anything else. All of that changed recently when I...

Frustration Station

by sarahgb , Dec 17 '02
Pros: 10 GB's of storage, good sound quality
Cons: firmware upgrade impossible, usb driver installation faulty, skips, volume control embedded in menu, cheap headphones
First I had a Archos 6000 for one day before I discovered after charging that it was defective (wouldn't boot). I returned it to Fry's, they said this was a common problem (wish I knew that when I was shopping initially). I came home with this one...

Not having the same problems others have experienced.

by madame_x , Mar 14 '05
Pros: Easy to install, drag and drop of MP3's, capacity is awesome for the money
Cons: Poor headphones
I received the Archos Studio Jukebox 10 as a Christmas gift and was pretty excited until I started to read all the negative reviews on it. I was a little worried until I charged the batteries and hooked mine up to my computer. Everything went without a...

Great value for the money

by markehr , Apr 28 '03
Pros: Price, USB interface, rechargeable batteries, sound, doubles as hard drive
Cons: Weight, controls, menus, documentation, buggy drivers, loud recharge
I received the Archos Jukebox Studio 10 as a Christmas gift, and overall I am pleased with the device.

I wanted an MP3 jukebox with large storage capacity, and this device has a 10GB drive, which has allowed me to store 1,900 songs with 750MB...

Not a bad product for the money.

by mark1620 , Feb 12 '03
Pros: Rational Price, Doubles as HDD, Very good sound, NiMHi batteries included. plays real mp3 files.
Cons: Confusing manual, awkward menu navigation, tiny display, cheezy headphones, no support of ID3 Tags
Installed drivers, rebooted and everything worked (Hey, I have a Macintosh, what else would you expect?)

Simple Playlist Creation:
1. I created a folder on the Jukebox

2. I opened up iTunes and selected all of the songs in my...

Quirky but good

by rkgood , Sep 24 '03
Pros: Great sound, good battery life, real flexibility, easy to use interface
Cons: Charging problems, not so hot software.
I've had mine for well over a year and it has accompanied me on many trips at home an abroad, and is often used with my home stereo. It works beautifully with MP3Pro, allowing for a gazillion tracks, and I get 8-10 hours out of a battery charge. With good ...

The MP3 player that doubles as a portable hard drive!

by Upinya , Apr 01 '03
Pros: Acts as hard drive, large storage space, easy to use
Cons: Needs lots of recharging, has some errors that occur.
I purchased my Jukebox from Best Buy over the summer, I choose it mostly because of the fact that it can double as a hard drive and it was in my price range ~$200. I didn’t want to get an MP3 player that needed memory sticks because they can’t...

My Archos mp3 jukebox.

by k7u5 , Feb 18 '03
Pros: -Low price (comparably) -Small enough to fit almost anywhere -Easy to use
Cons: -Hard disk may cause problems for active people -Small display scrolls to much
When I first got this product, I was amazed. the 10 GB hard drive had enough room for all my .mp3's and much, much more. I now store all sorts of non-.mp3 files on there simply for backup. The only problem I saw was the battery usage/recharge rate. The...

Had it for a couple years
by angelliclulu ,Mar 09 '05
Pros: Durable, Simple to use, Reliable, Easy to change batteries
Cons: Slow upload, bulky, not very portable
This is a great player. It's been through a lot of damage with me working with it and it still works like a charm, unlike most other MP3 Players. I've dropped it countless times. I like the folder system, it's like an external hard drive and very simple to use. It's also easy to change out batteries and just requires 4 rechargable ion batteries that are easy to find for a cheap price. I've had it for over three years now and it's about time for me to change the batteries.

Archos Jukebox Studio 10
by midgetnomore ,Nov 17 '03
Pros: Hold A lot of songs. Great to have.
Cons: Heavy Big
I great MP3 player! A little heafty, but holds a lot of songs. A lot more then many other MP3 players, so the amount of songs downloadable comes with a price. Great for storing all the songs you will ever listen too. Not so good for sports or running because of its size. It is still small compared to CD players though.

It's a piece of engineering !
by undutchable ,Dec 03 '04
Pros: long battery life, cheap, fast upgradable os,records from line in,internal hard disk is upgradable (laptop HD)
Cons: Relatively Large,heavy weight,slow USB1.1, non-user friendly interface
Of course we all know the cons of the Archos Jukebox, but i definably know the pros. A friend of mine bought the Genius I-POD and decided to give me this piece of trash, I basically threw it in my closet and never even bothered to try using it, but then boredom struck and I decided I was going to wake this baby! buying the GP2300 batteries and downloading Rockbox the latest version (http://www.rockbox.org/download/)was the best thing that happened to this Machine, i was amazed , the NiMH 2300 mAH batteries boost the jukebox a good 15 hours and 51 minutes , moreover , surprising adjustment made to the interface enabling this piece of "junk" to start up really fast ! please just try it and let me know !

As advertised, this is a great storage medium. More importantly though, to me, is that this is a great sounding unit. 10 GB is plenty of storage. I transferred my entire mp3 collection very easily onto the unit and quickly learned how to setup the file system and playlists. It works flawlessly. I would highly recommend this product.

I love this thing! I take it with me everywhere. 10 GB is more than enough for anything you want to store, and it can hold more than music. My computer crashed, but I was able to back up my hard drive onto my MP3 player, and saved most of the stuff. Don't waste money on 20 GB, 10 is all you need.

As i said in pros - cons, excellent sound quality and capacity, however USB port connection gives problems with other hardware (sometimes cannot find CD-Rom). Now I dont know whether that is a problem with my computer, or a general thing with USB port connection.
