Pros: large capacity, easy to use Cons: not very ergonomical
Definitely worth buying. One of the classic MP3 players that have managed to keep its status as the best. Rio MP3 is known everywhere. Not an amazing design but it holds quite a large capacity of music, plays excellently, sips on the battery...

Pros: light/compact form Cons: software a bit confusing
I got the product in the fall of 1998 because of its novelty - I was pleasantly surprised at the usability and sound quality. Although the RIO has limited storage, it was enough for a long run or workout at the gym.
Pros:
1) very light,...

Pros: Nice size, good quality Cons: SIMPLY NOT ENOUGH SPACE
I got the rio at best buy, with about 200$, I don't remember how much exactly *smiles* well...It seemed good at first, as I loaded the program onto my computer and hooked it up...but then it hit me! 32 Meg space for MP3s!?!?! That's just not enough!!!...

Pros: low-power, portable, light-weight Cons: MP3 only, yet another parallel port cable, buggy
I've purchased both a Rio and a Rio SE (Special Edition). With each I've had incredible reliability issues. When downloading songs to the player, I have received 'Invalid Media' error messages after only a couple of songs. Even the songs I do get...

Pros: small, good sound, and large source of music Cons: a little pricey
I got the mp3 player for Christmas past year and I love it. I have saved money from just getting mp3s and not buying a whole cd for one or two songs. This product has also made me motivated to run. Since there are no moving parts it never skips and...

Pros: Skip-Free, Long Battery Life, Easy to Use, Comes with everything you need to get started Cons: Not a lot of space for your music, Add-on memory is too expensive
I got the Diamond Rio a few months ago when it had a rebate so that it was only $99. I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I installed the software and quickly uploaded some of my favorite MP3 songs to the player... That amounted to ten...

Pros: nice & small Cons: flash card expansions are a little pricey
Many people ask why should I get an MP3 player? I already have a Discman. Is there really a difference? In my experience the answer is yes. I purchased one of these little numbers a few months back after a friend recommended it to me. To put it...

Pros: A wonderful machine, small and easy to use. Lots of memory Cons: Very expensive ($270) the newer PMP500 can be had for the same price.
Diamond RIO PMP300:SE
I bought this product about two weeks ago, and it is amazing. I saw the RIO featured on CNN a while back and decided I had to have one. I paid $270 dollars for it. It has 64 megabytes of RAM...

Pros: Small, good sound quality Cons: Slow downloads, 32MB is kinda slim
This thing is just plain cool. It's only fault is that 32MB really doesn't give you much room. The extra $100 for 64MB is worth it. Other than that, sound quality is great, and since there are no moving parts it doesn't skip. The supplied software is...

Pros: Very easy to use and small Cons: very few sound adjustments available
I bought this product because I wanted to be able to listen to the music I wanted to listen to anytime and anywhere, the RIO allowed me to do this. It is a little expensive but really puts out. When I bought it it came with a couple of rebates so it's...

Pros: low-cost, high-quality music, light-weight Cons: no filename display
The Rio 300 is a great low-cost alternative to the much more expensive portable MP3 players. Not only does the Rio provide a great way to listen to your mp3s. It lets you have a skip-proof and near-CD quality music for the active life-style. I have close...

Pros: Light weight, no CDs needed Cons: Possible problems, few songs can be saved at one time
Myself and my two roomates purchased this product hoping for great digital sound without the need of those pesky CDs. We purchased them from an on-line auction service and we got a pretty good deal. They were $94 with a $50 mail in rebate. For a while...

Pros: Easy to use, great sound, 64MB memory is essential, interacts well with Musicmatch Jukebox, has hip belt clip Cons: Parallel port connection, no upload capability, battery drains if left in player
After years of frustration with overpriced CDs by artists that really only have an EP of music I want to hear by the 3rd listen, mp3s are a Godsend.
If you have decent computer speakers you can listen at your PC (which is where many college...

Pros: Good Music Quality, Good Support Cons: Low Storage Space
Alright, I'm sure everyone knows what a mp3 is. Gosh, Friday night it was a 100,000 dollar question on Fox Network's Greed. Everyone learned quickly about the RIAA filing a lawsuit against Diamond for producing the first mp3 player, but since they were...

Pros: Physical size of case, durability, variety of downloadable songs Cons: Limited Memory
While I did not purchase my MP3 player but received it as a present for Christmas, I still am very pleased with the Diamond Rio PMP300. The first thing I want to say about the player is that, when you buy it at Best Buy it comes with a $50 rebate....
