Good copier, less than adequate printer
by electronicsguy ,Feb 19 '04
Pros: Print Quality, Price Cons: Lockups, Scanner only through USB
Bought it on sale at OfficeMax but took it back after a week because the thing kept locking up when I tried to print large large documents using the parallel port. USB port printed, but was about 30% slower.

Not too bad...

Pros: Print speed and quality, great document feeder. Cons: Can jam paper if I put in over 100 sheets of heavier paper in tray.
I've owned this printer/copier/scanner for about 2 years and haven't had a bit of problems with lockup or print quality, or even speed. I connect solely through USB (it's interface is 1.1) and it has worked flawlessly. Scans are good, the auto document feeder works every time without jamming, and the ease of use is second to no other I've owned. It would receive 4 of 5 stars, if it were rated that way. I have had a slight problem with thicker paper (24#) in that if I put in over about 100 sheets in the paper tray, it tends to jam up. It works fine with 200 on 20# or less.

So-So

Pros: Print quality Cons: Warm-up time
Takes forever to warm up and can be frustrating waiting. Turns itself off too quickly. Quality ok; no jams or problems.
