Definitely worth a look if you're in the market for a $200 PDA

by holeydonut2k3 , Jan 17 '04
Pros: Sony style... good size and easy to carry around. Great entry-level PDA
Cons: Poorly designed stylus... Needs a docking cradle... For some: memory stick
I purchased this Sony PEG TJ35 to replace a Sony PEG TG50 that I had. So in my review, you’ll probably find me making many references in comparison or contrast to those two units. You should also consider checking out reviews the TJ35’s closest ...

Just an Average-Joe PDA with some new Bells & Whistles tacked on

by maryannyfanny , Mar 19 '04
Pros: A cheap-thrill for the gadget lover (or software lover..as there are tons). Cool hidden cam.
Cons: Lacks headset port, screen not bright enough, retracting toothpick stylus, rectangle design
WHY DO I WANT A PDA? I was in the market for a new PDA after fumbling with the pen and paper for almost two years (especially after I had my previous Palm IIIc and VII... yes both of them...stolen !!). I found a whole array of ultra-cool ...

TJ35 is a winner!

by beege2003 , Nov 24 '03
Pros: Fast, feels solid, Decuma, Graffiti2, great selection of default software.
Cons: Poor Battery Life, hotsync cradle is optional, stylus feels too light-weight.
Purchased a TJ35 from The Sony Store (Canada). Paid $349CAD plus a 2 year extended warranty for an additional $59CAD. Sony store gave a free screen protector. I don't normally purchase extended warranties, but since I noticed alot of refurbished Clie's ...

Pros: Holds a lot of information, displays great graphics
Cons: the backlight does not work
The PDA is easy to carry around and displays great graphics however I have already encountered a problem. The PDA backlight does not work anymore. It is worthless without a backlight. I was recently informed that this model has problems with the backlight. I am hoping that this problem will be taken care of by Sony. Despite that it is great!!

I like it !!!
by adamg2 ,Sep 02 '04
Pros: All the bells and whistles MP3 internet camera all built into one small box
Cons: accessories are costly. stylus is too small for comfort.
I find the camera is a great built in bonus. The MP3 player is a very nice. After reading many of the other reviews I see that a well built aluminum protective case is a must have and also a memory stick is requirement for easily transferring pictures to a computer. Accessories are costly but necessary. I feel that the stylus is too small but big deal. I have not found much need for the wireless internet but it as a cool option. I do not prefer Graffiti2 but it may be because I am used to Graffiti, if it is your first palm os that is no problem.

Inconvenient
by giz-phoebes ,Aug 30 '04
Pros: Display, speed, graffiti
Cons: Battery always dead because buttons sensitive to pressure even when off and locked on "hold".
I replaced my old Palm with the Clie and regret not getting another Palm. I'm okay with the telescoping stylus, the graffiti and the features, but it's always dead! The "cover" broke off in a month, and if anything presses against the buttons (ie. if I carry it in my pocket or bag), even with the power off and locked, the battery drains. I have to resynch to an old backup weekly and no longer rely on it to store anything important.

PEG-TJ35
by acekool ,Dec 04 '03
Pros: Graphics,speed,slim design.Battery access. MP3 player. 32MB ram.
Cons: Graffiti 2 requires extra strokes. Lettering on R side rubs off to easy.
I like the speed of the processor. Makes my T615C seem like it's on dial up. OS5 graphics is super especially in games. Center jog dial is easier to use. The stylus seems flimsy but stays in. Ability to change to classic view (I prefer) is nice.
Aero MP3 player is good (upgrade and you get more features). Metal front, plastic back body. Wished they made it all metal like T615C, would be more durable.
All n All it's a great deal @ $220 with rebate offer.
Only major problem I had is the back light went out.
Graffiti 2 is like learning a foreign language. I wished they kept G1. But I heard there's a way to convert to G1.
