Pros: Beautiful picture and great sound. Cons: I almost snapped my spine trying to lift it.
After my 10-year-old crappy bedroom TV literally blew up, a little voice in my head said "replace immediately - or you will no longer wake up to Katie, Matt, Ann and Al." Not being one to take the voices in my head lightly, I immediately started...
Pros: Outstanding picture and sound quality. Cons: Heavy, DVD Playback sound level.
I am a man; as my wife will most surly attest. And like almost all men I love all things electronic; the more buttons, lights, and controls, the better! No, I do not spend all of my time buried knee deep in the written word, or studying the...
Pros: Awesome picture for the price, easy to use On-Screen Display, good sound. Cons: It weighs a ton, like all Trinitrons. So, watch what you put it on.
About 6 months ago, I bought a home and lived quite happily without cable TV, as I kept telling myself that the only show I REALLY wanted to watch was on UPN50 and that should have come in fine over the airwaves. Well, imagine my surprise when all I...
Pros: Image quality, Sound quality, Sony TV reliability, the Looks Cons: slightly high price, weight, not enough inputs in the back
I just moved to NYC last year. At first I shared an apartment with my cousin who has the Sony KV 27FS200, which is the 27 inch, previous year model of this KV 24FV300. Later on, I moved out once I found a nice apartment and had to buy a TV for myself....
First off, the Sony Trinitron screens are true flat screens which means that they are _flat_ (no bubble tubes like regular TVs), and they are not kidding. Some companies sell their TVs as "flat" screen, however, they are not. Also, to be clear, this is...
Pros: Makes a great boat anchor! Cons: This model is a LEMON. Do not buy!!!
Check this: we bought this Sony TV in May 2003. We are a family that HARDLY watches TV: no cable hook up, no rabbit ears even! It was just used only for the occasional DVD or VHS rental from the local Blockbuster outlet. We are talking low hours usage, ...
Pros: Great Picture and sound, cool styling, plenty big for a small movie room. Cons: too heavy, too pricy but find a sony outlet and save $$$ like i did.
i searched for 2 weeks here reading reviews of 20-24 inch TV's and in the end i narrowed it down to the JVC 20 in which rocks, more so than the sony 20 because of its 16:9 aspect ratio button on the remote. (the picture quality is the same)i went with ...
Pros: Looks Good Cons: Mediocre picture, poor sound quality, DOA after 14 months
I have purchased many Sony products over the years, TV’s, portable audio and home theater electronics. I was always willing to pay extra because I thought Sony made quality products which performed well and lasted a long time. In fact, I had a 21” Sony ...
Pros: styling, picture and sound quality, sony brand reputation Cons: hard to read/illogical on screen display , combined s-video/video 1 input, remote control quality/design, weight
Nowadays every single piece of electronics equipment you buy comes with tons of features for which you have to compromise practicality versus "nice to have". This SONY comes with excellent picture and sound quality, as well as most of the extra...
Pros: Terrific picture, plus opportunities to tweak it further, good sound, good remote Cons: Heavy. Expensive when compared to other 24"/27" TVs
We wanted to replace our old 19" Mitsubishi TV in the bedroom and this 24" model fits in the same space. Big improvement over going with the 20". This TV is usually $450 but I got it for $400 with 10% off at Sears.
Pros: Great styling. Good picture. Cons: Sound is on the weak side.
If you want your TV to look as good off as it does on, then the Sony Wega series may be for you. The styling is clean, modern, and crisp. The screen is perfectly flat which, while it doesn't seem to make a huge difference while the TV is on, really...
Pros: Good look, good picture Cons: Poor quality control.
I have this unit since 2002. I bought it because it has a great look and the picture was also great. So far, it worked fine. But then, it doesn't want to turn on anymore. How about that for a 3 year old TV set that I paid 800 $ (Can) ! I now have to bring it to a repair shop and it will probably cost me a few hundred bucks to get it work again...
** UPDATE on Sept. 19, 2005 **
I received a call today from the repair shop. It will cost me 165$ (Can) to repair the unit. It's hard to say no because the unit is only 3 years old... but I wished the guy would have told me it would cost something like 300$... I would have say no to the repair and I would have been happy to put this TV in the garbage myself !
