Symantec Norton SystemWorks™ 2004 Professional Full Version for PC (10109273)

Pros: Nothing about this software is worth the aggravation of dealing with the subscription renewal scam.
Cons: You are forced to renew the subscription every year, regardless of whether you need it.

Do not waste your money on this worthless piece of junk. I purchased Norton Systemworks 2004 one year ago, primarily for its password management and registry cleaning components. Since I use Zone Alarm Pro for virus protection, I do not need Systemworks’ antivirus component. Regardless, a couple of weeks ago an annoying subscription renewal reminder started popping up at random intervals on my desktop.

The day the subscription expired, Systemworks notified me that I had received an infected email that mysteriously disappeared right after the notification. Oddly enough that was the first infected email I have received in months and am supposed to believe that Zone Alarm did not catch the email.

As far as the pop up, there is no way to disable it, unless you pay Symantec to renew your antivirus subscription. So, even if you do not use the antivirus component and buy Systemworks for its other components, you will be forced to either endure extremely annoying pop up reminders on your desktop or pay Symantec to renew a subscription that you do not need. I will never buy one of Symantec’s products again.
