I got this cam at Walmart for $20. I figured I was getting a great deal because I had a clip that I figured could be used for notebook attachment and a microphone. I couldn't have been more wrong. The clip did work somewhat, but it was too loose for a notebook. That was my misjudgement. However, I never had an opportunity to check the quality of the mic because I spent the whole time trying to get a clear picture with the camera. The image was very grainy and hard to make out. It was also very dark. I tried adjusting with the manual focus, but that didn't do any good. I was so frustrated that I packed it back up and took it right back that same day. The young woman at customer service looked at it and said as if it had happened before, "It didn't work?" I replied, "It didn't work well. It sucked!" She nodded knowingly.

Cons: You have to read the installation instructions FIRST.

Installed without any problems( I followed the instructions ). Great picture for such a low priced camera. I installed it on a USB-1 connection and it works great. Wish I had a USB-2 connection for it as they say the picture is even better.

Pros: Tiny, works great, does not tip over

Hands down the best web cam I have ever had, for around $50.00

this camera works great with all of the messaging services. it was easy to install with the software provided, picture quality is fantastic, the video and microphone work great, better than any of my friend's cams. there is really nothing wrong with this camera, provided you know how to adjust the picture, sound, etc. performs extremely well for the price!!

I bought this camera for $38 from Amazon.com. I think that it is a quite nice piece of technology for the price. Works well with Yahoo messenger and Eyeball chat. Picture quality is satisfactory for the price, although you have to fool around with controls a little bit. Lighting conditions, are also an important factor. Occasionally, the software frezzes, especially if you do too much switching --- but fortunately it doesn't happen too often. Overall, a good camer for the price.

Simply an awesome camera for 49 bucks. Most other cameras with these features were 79-99 so I opted for this one and couldn't be happier. It's a bummer that it doesn't work well with NetMeeting but Netmeeting sucks anyway. Works great with eyeball, yahoo, and MSN messenger which are far easier to use anyway...koodos to veo. Oh..to follow the guidelines: yes it performed as expected. I like the overall camera. It is better that other cameras I have seen in the past. And I would recommend to a friend.
