Pros: Fast; easy setup with Win XP; supports lots of memory cards Cons: Can incorrectly insert SmartMedia; dim pilot light; useless rubber support foot
My digital camera uses aging SmartMedia memory cards, which are small but relatively slow. SmartMedia is also only good for up to 128 MB, which is a very modest amount of memory by today's standards. Although I get 125 pictures on the 128 MB chip with my ...

PowerShot A60 digicam and a new computer with USB 2.0 ports, I decided to get a memory card reader. The biggest benefit to a memory card reader is how much battery life you end up saving in ...
Pros: Works with smaller Lexar SD cards. Comes with Dazzle OnDVD. Nice USB cord connection. Cons: Fails w/larger 1x Lexar SD cards. Old & New PNP-drivers act-up. OnDVD is buggy.
Purchased 2004 Spring. Driver disk/manual CD files are dated 2003 Summer. I only have one SD Card that this unit can write/format. It is a Lexar 256 Mbytes. The many other Lexar SD Cards that I have are 512 Mbytes or more, and this unit can only ...
Pros: Easy to use, very low cost, compact size. Cons: I can't think of any at this time.
I am a complete novice when adding hardware to my laptop and I had no idea what I was in for but it could not have been simpler to use. This is truly what is meant by "Plug and Play". The computer immediately recognized the reader and up popped a ...
Pros: Got it for 10 bucks, read compact flash and has USB 2.0 Cons: Doesn't work, and company doesn't support it.
This item was purchased several months ago, and was hooked to a USB 2.0 port. It took some fiddling with disc management tools in Windows XP, but ultimately I got it to work with a compact flash card for several months. Then I got a camera that uses ...
Didn't work - and technical support was non-existent by nospamplease21 ,Dec 07 '03
Pros: Absolutely no pros whatsoever. Cons: Didn't work - no real technical support or uninstall software. Hosed-up my USB port.
Bought the 10-in-1 unit from Circuit City, and tried to use it with a Win ME machine - couldn't get it to work. Attempted to use Tio's email tech support after the FAQ's were next to useless, never got a response after two attempts. Tried calling the tech support number (not a toll-free phone number!) and was put on hold forever - never did get a human being on the phone after several attempts at different times of the day.
The directions that come with the product were written before Dazzle was bought by Tio - and refer to a online support forum which no longer exists.
There isn't any uninstall software available - and after trying to install their software, my USB port stopped working. Now attempting to find out what got hosed up by their product.
A thoroughly horrible experience, and I'll never buy a Tio Corporation product again.
