Pros: Perfect every time! Thoughtful design. Cons: People won't stop coming over after you serve rice from this machine.
I was recently posted to Tokyo for six months by my job. Because of this, I knew that Zojirushi is a trusted producer of gadgets for the Japanese home. These guys, and Panasonic, seem to dominate the rice pot and electric thermos section of every ...

It is so Japanese...I love it
by montoya ,Aug 10 '04
Pros: Easy to use. Easy to clean. Easy to program. Cons: Maybe a little bit on the large side for 5.5 cup rice cooker.
If you are single and have no time to wash or prepare rice like I am, and need a small rice cooker, look no further. The NS-ZAC10 is the best rice cooker I've ever owned. Within 5 minutes of reading the manual I programmed the cooker to make rice for a nice dinner that evening. Some of the rice cookers I have owned in the past always burned the bottom or just came out to dry and were never consistent in making good rice. The NS-ZAC10 is always consistent in making rice just right! If you prefer harder or softer rice it's just a couple of clicks away on the menu.
Most of all the unit is so Japanese with its round curvatures, easy to press large menu buttons and neat sound melodies you will fall in love with your new rice cooker like I have!
Thanks Zojirushi for making a great rice cooker for a single guy!

Beautiful Little Rice Cooker
by goshikisen ,Nov 11 '03
Pros: Perfect Rice... Everytime. Easy to use. Cons: Price (not a problem if you do a bit of research first)
I have yet to burn rice with this cooker and for me that is an accomplishment. Zojirushi has done a great job with the NS-ZAC10. I have used it to cook a variety of rices and every time they have turned out perfect.
There is very little to dislike about this product... my only gripe perhaps was with the price but I bought it in Canada and, in hindsight, I probably could have got it cheaper if I did a bit of research.

How I aced Rice 101
by numberfive ,Nov 12 '04
Pros: super easy, timer programmable, perfect rice-even brown, holds & warms beautifully Cons: costs a bit but darn well worth it, 24 hour clock,'Twinkle twinkle little star'?
I was a total rice cooking dummy before I looked into this cooker. The worst results were when I cooked brown rice-in my book this is the acid test for cooking rice!
Scoop the rice into the nonstick pan,add H2O to the appropriate level, punch a button. Ta-dahhh!
The price is a tad steep, but most all of these fuzzy logic units cost similarly. When I asked around, "What brand rice cooker do you have ?", Zojurishi was the #1 answer I heard.
I feel that I've bought the best there is this time.
