Pros: Color Screen, great sound, replaceable battery, tons of features... more than Zen Micro! Cons: Lack of software and accessories in box, more expensive than others, sluggish interface.
Why do I keep buying these things... well, for $179 through the NapsterToGo deal (the first 1000 to sign up for a full year of NapsterToGo got the iRiver H10 free!) I couldn't say no! Heck, even before that, the svelte stylish H10 had me looking ...
Pros: Head-turning design, sounds fantastic, beautiful screen, FM tuner, Voice recorder, removable battery Cons: Your computer might not recognize it, terrible with navigating songs and playlists, no tech support
The iRiver H10 is undeniably awesome - a 5 star product - in certain ways, but a giant headache - 1 or 2 stars - in other ways. Whether it's right for you will depend on what you're looking for in an MP3 player. Background: I researched all the ...
Pros: Light, Slim, Colorful Screen, non-dependent on program, good sound, nice recording feature, long batter life. Cons: Cannot delete within the player and compatible with XP Windows only
Ok, since I missed out on the IRiver H320 for Christmas (sold-out), I decided to wait for the new IRiver H10. The day has finally come and I got the new H10. First of all, this little player looks good. Very slim, about 95.5 x 54.6 x 15 (mm) and ...
Pros: Text Viewer, Photo Viewer, 5gb, Low Price, Great Quality, SRS WOW, Good Battery Life, Simple Cons: A little tall, touch pad is slow, no GIF support. Otherwise ive got no complaints
For those who dont know the company iriver is one of the leading makers of mp3 players. They are up their with creative and apple as far as popularity go. While not being nearly as broadcasted as the ipod I do feel that from my success with this player ...
Pros: Bright screen Cons: Poor battery, horrible OS support, bad customer service
At first blush the iRiver H10 appears to be a pretty nice player. It has a nice bright screen, can record audio (podcasts), has an FM tuner, and can be used in conjunction with Napster and other music sites. But the player is horribly incompatible ...
Pros: Superior design, ergonomic ease, great sound, quality craftsmanship. Cons: Honestly have not come across any as of yet.
My search for an mp3 player started right here on the Epinions web site. It didn't take long to come to the conclusion that the iriver H10 product would be worth looking into. I had heard all the hoopla about the ipod, but the more I read, the less ...
Pros: looks and sounds good when working Cons: Not fully compatible with USB; critical flaws soon make it inoperable; nonexistent tech support.
This device is a perfect example of today's trend in tech products: outside: great look, many features, turning heads, etc., etc. on the first glance - actually, as many glances as necessary to pull out the wallet. Inside: bad functionality, engineering ...
Pros: Sleek style, color screen, radio, text files, photos, great web support. Cons: Minor glitches that were fixed with software patches from the website.
I happen to love my iRiver H10. I got mine for a fantastic price at Overstock.com (new, not refurbished) as my first Mp3 player. It has some great features, and I've had very few glitches with it being used almost daily for about 3 years. Design: I ...
Pros: Lightweight, great display and sound, easy to use, good looking, Cons: controls location, slow control response, lack of accessories
I've had my H10 for about 6 months now and use it alot. Most of the tunes are downloaded from my one year subscription to Yahoo Music, which is a bit buggy, but that's another review. It's my first "modern" MP3 player, and it seems to stack up pretty ...
Pros: Good design and portability, great sound, cool color screen, good FM receiver, lots of features. Cons: Poor compatibility (can't works on Mac's), poor support, can't create playlist inside player, suddenly freeze.
The H10 has great sound and looks very stylish. Its color screen (although small), and its FM Tuner and Recorder, made my choice clear against the mini iPod. Before I decided to buy the H10, I've already read a lot of reviews. There were lots of ...
Satisfied owner after several years.. by robertgoretsky ,Apr 09 '07
Pros: Small size, long battery life Cons: Must sync using Windows Media Player, slow transfer of media to device.
Having owned the iRiver H10 for over two years, I am happy to report that it is still working great. While the 5GB hard drive may be small by today's standards, the iRiver has been continually releasing firmware updates to keep the software running smoothly. In contrast to many iPod owners I know, I have never had a hard-drive failure or other mechanical problem with the device. The only drawback to this player is that it was one of several devices that were supposed to work with the Microsoft "PlaysForSure" certification -- a concept Microsoft may soon be leaving behind, as the Zune does not even carry this certification.
Worst Customer Service EVER! by ru4beer ,Oct 18 '07
Pros: I cannot think of one. The worst svcs experience ever. Cons: Machine reliability is poor, service is worse. Never buy an Iriver!
I purchased unit new at a Best Buy. I paid $150.00. It lasted 2 weeks and stopped working. I sent it back to be fixed and tech support re-sent the machine to me STILL NOT WORKING. I called again, put on hold for 1/2 hour, and Iriver said, "Send it back in and we'll give you a new one." The new one was a refurb. that didn't work either. Called again and now they said they would be willing to "troubleshoot" with me but will not replace the refurb for the NEW one that I had purchased. I wanted to speak with someone who could get em what I wanted and was told that the Customer doesn't matter to Iriver, it has to be done the way Iriver wants it done. If you want to give your money away, I suggest a nice charity that could use the money because this so-called company is a joke. If you speak with a guy by the name of "PETER" in tech support-run like hell- he's the manager that I spoke with.
Pros: Colour screen, photo viewer, text viewer, FM Radio Cons: Lack of included software
I got this player as a replacement for my Zen Micro after my third one broke. I had to play an extra 40$ CAD, but man was it worth it. The FM Radio reception is very good where I live. Sound quality of the player is also excellent, but I'm not that much of an audiophile so I may be wrong. The photos load relatively quickly, but then again, I have nothing to compare them to.
Overall, this player is loaded with features and worth every penny you will pay for it.
Pros: Screen resolution and top-level list of "features." Cons: Way too complicated and very unreliable.
Took several trips to Best Buy to get one that worked. Complex, limited software (XP) interface makes home-work-travel compatibility a real problem. Finally took back for refund.
Pros: It does look nice. Cons: The device was never seen by Windows. The firmware never seemed to work.
This is what happened when I bought an iRiver h-10 for my daughter for Christmas.
She opened the box. She loved it.
Then she tried to get it to work. Then she asked me to try to get it to work. Then we called iRiver telephone support. Then we got an RMA and returned it for a new one. When we got the new one in the mail we opened the box. We were glad it came.
Then we tried to get it to work. We found that we needed to phone iRiver telephone support. We did as they suggested. Then we had to phone iRiver telephone support again.
We are very sad.
If you want to listen to music on a portable device you may want to get something other than iRiver.
On the other hand, the iRiver telephone support people were very understanding and nice to talk to.
