Damn, This Thing Is Awesome
by jtrafidlo ,Mar 09 '04
Pros: Ease of Use, Sound Quality, Inline Remote, Backlight, Build Quality, Built In Battery
Cons: Takes a while to transfer files. Not really the players fault. Nothing else, I'm happy.
I have had the iRiver iHP-100 for about a month and I have yet to be disappointed. The quality is very high. The unit seems well built. The case it come with is nice however, I opted for a case for this that is actually meant for an ipod, but this unit fits well. The case (incase is the brand) is incorporated into a belt that is worn around the waist. I got it at CompUSA and i highly recommend it. Back to the unit: I found it very easy to use and navigate. The inline remote is great. I like that you can lock both the remote and unit independently so you don't hit a button accidently. The sound quality is great, I'm not sure how much of it has to do with the sennheiser PKX 60 earphones i purchased separately. I would take this over an ipod anyday. Definitely worth checking out
