Pros: Lighweight, cool looking design, decent battery Cons: Lacks WiFi and so much more!
palmOne Tungsten T5 Handheld Ive had the Tungsten T5 for about 3 months now; Ive not had a PDA for a couple of years and figured it was time I got one to make work and life a bit easier. Initially I was excited by the new technology ...
Pros: Attractive display, fast, powerful. Lots of software available, much of it free. Cons: OEM peripherals are very expensive. No microphone, no built-in WiFi. No IM client.
INTRODUCTION ============= I'm astonished that only 5 reviews had been written on this device, since it has been around for over a year and seems to be pretty popular. But since so few have taken the opportunity to write it up, I will share my ...
Pros: Weight, memory, expansion card, great screen and speed Cons: No WiFi, no voice recorder and poor battery life
The Pa1mOne Tungsten T5 is a great solution offered by this company... light, nice looking, great screen, great speed and capacity. The connectivity is also very nice, as you can connect through the integrated BlueTooth or the included USB cable. It also ...
Pros: Free Wifi, Flash Drive, Great Screen Display and flexibility. Cons: No Cradle, just a cable system
The Palm thats a Flash Drive, MP3 Player, and More An Opinion We are always trying to jam as many gizmos into one device, however it always ends up that we only use one of the functions so why put up with all the other gizmos. I like ...
Pros: quite convenient, practical features, very user-friendly Cons: no resale value
I've had my T5 for about a year and a half by now. I bought it for its convenient size, applications and features that were just perfect for a professor like me. I could create lesson plans, record grades, save files, view presentations, as well as keep ...
Pros: Bluetooth, good capacity for storing files and photos, can sync with Outlook, colour screen Cons: Unreliable, customer service stinks, no wifi, dead end OS, rubbish battery life, not a mobile
I had a Vx for about 4 years and replaced it with a Tungsten T5 in Feb 2005. This was despite reading a number of reviews that described the hum some T5s reputedly make. I have now owned the T5 for 15 months & I can categorically say that it is junk. ...
Pros: Bright wide screen, good sound, excellent battery life Cons: Power button breaks within 6 months, apps can be slow to load at times.
When it works, it works great! When it doesn't, it is a paperweight, albeit a pretty looking one. Good features, but a pass on reliability. I would love to be able to recommend this model. When it is working, it is really impressive. The ...
Pros: Generally a good product Cons: Horrible Telephone Tech Support
I just want to agree with the comment on how bad Palm telephone tech support is. They have obviously outsourced their support, and the call center has hired people who cannot understand the questions even if you speak slowly and clearly.
They also spend the first 5 minutes of the call trying to find some reason to not grant you tech support, and explain that you need to agree to pay $25 for help. I called with regard to a new Palm that I had purchased, and the call center person would not help me, claiming it could not be new, and I had to spend $25 to get help. When I argued with him on that point, he just hung up.
I think Palm has a strategy of trying to make the Tech Support a profit center instead of a cost center.
Don't be fooled by its looks! by arthurts ,Oct 01 '06
Pros: Sleek looks, great screen Cons: Problematic, breaks down easily
I've had this PDA for less than a year before it broke down on me. When I was deciding which PDA to get, I decided to go with the T5 because the specs looked really appealing. It's got a great screen and fairly good functions. The bad thing about the T5, and it may just be palm in general, is that its programs seem very fragile. Fatal errors always occur and the palm tech support is probably the worst worst I've ever dealt with.
Pros: light, fast and easy to use Cons: doesnt come in pink
I am really happy with my new T5. I am definitely a beginner to the entire PDA scene and I love my new device. easy to handle and quite petite for everything it does for me.
