Pros: l-Tryptophan in warm milk is a safe, natural sleep aid Cons: Mocha, people. It's supposed to taste like coffee and chocolate.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is to Starbucks as Burger King is to McDonald's: there are fewer of them around, and there's a total lack of lip-smacking beef tallow in the french fries. Granted, The Coffee Bean doesn't...
Pros: Warm, friendly environment, product variety, quality and taste. Cons: Lack of locations, prices, makes Starbucks much less appealing and anticipated.
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has been around for a long time, but it's not as corporate-feeling as Starbucks, yet. I've been a huge fan of The Coffee Bean for as long as I can recall and I remember when they were no longer a simple "family" run business, ...
Pros: Frequent Buyer Gets Free One, Coffee and Espresso combined "Red Eye" can do the job Cons: Ice Blended Coffee Extract isn't an Espresso Quality kick. Pricey. Lesser of the franchises
The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf is a coffee franchise, or Starbucks alternative, that is located at nearly every "cool" location or hip area in all of LA County. Wherever there is a mall, shopping area, hot club, there is a Coffee Bean. Wherever there is...
Pros: Chain convenience without chain blandness. Full coffee and tea lines. Cons: Not yet a nation-wide chain like the vastly inferior Starbucks.
Here's the simple truth...if you happen to be in one of the states where COFFEE BEAN AND TEA LEAF has set up shop, you not only have an alternative to Starbucks (as far as chain outlets goes) but you have a vastly superior alternative. Item for item, ...
Pros: A healthy addiction which leaves you on a natural high
Cons: None, just feed the need
Note: CB = Coffee Bean
Each day, around three o’clock in the afternoon, the small, tired voice buried underneath the desert sands housed within my throat, cries my name. The tiny voice is joined by what seems like a choir of Guarani...
Pros: High quality product, knowledgeable staff Cons: none
My wife and I stumbled upon the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf one day. I ordered her a caramel latte.. there's probably a proper name for it, but we were used to Starbucks' Caramel Macchiatto. The quality of CB&TL's product was far better. Turns out they...
Pros: Cosy ambience & Knowledgeable Coffee Baristas Cons: Large crowd makes the place rowdy
I have never been a caffeine lover until I stumbled upon Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. What fascinated me was the wide array of pastries that spoilt us -the consumers. Since we are the consumers, we were often exposed to massive promotional campaigns,...
Pros: Better than Starbucks Cons: Not as many as Starbucks
I recently was needing a coffee fix and amazingly, there was not a Starbucks in sight. However, I quickly spotted a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and figured it looked enough like a Starbucks.
I went in and got a latte... Lo and behold--it was...
Pros: better coffee, better service, better atmosphere! Cons: not available in the midwest or east coast
I used to live in Santa Monica and practically lived at the Coffee Bean on Montana Ave. When I moved out of state a year ago, I could not find a Coffee Bean anywhere and this was the beginning of my deep depression. The Hot Vanilla Mix was nowhere to be...
Pros: Quality, service. Cons: Not as many locations as Starbucks.
It seems that Starbucks are popping up everywhere, just like mushrooms... And Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf are discreet and not that common. Again, a clear case of chain-stores stepping over better quality. Fact is, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf might not be...
Pros: No sugar added iced-blended drinks! Cons: There is always a line!
I love coffee. I love the whole "let's hang out and have coffee" experience. I used to like Starbucks a lot---until I visited the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. I now drive WAY out of my way (passing MANY Starbucks---of course there's one on every corner)...
Pros: Pros are wide variety of drinks, more flavorful drinks, and drink punch cards. Cons: Often times a long wait, slower service than Starbucks.
My husband and I moved to Orange County from the Bay area a year ago. Coming for the Bay area we were addicted to Starbuck's and occasionally Peets. After reading an article about Coffee Bean I decided to give it a try. My husband was very skeptical but one visit to Coffee Bean and we were hooked.
I have to say their drinks are superior to that of Starbuck's and when Coffee Bean is too crowded and I'm in a hurry I'm greatly disappointed to have to go elsewhere.
The atmosphere is good and they provide more of a variety of drinks than Starbucks or other competitors. For example last visit I ordered a blueberry pomegranate tea latte which was delicious.
In addition to the superior drink Coffee Bean still offers the punch cards, for each drink you order your card gets punched and when your card is full you get a free drink which is also a nice incentive.
Pros: Great taste.
Generous serving.
Relaxed atmosphere. Cons: Can get crowded at times and difficult to get seats or clean table.
Coffee Bean is probably the best place to feed your need for cold coffee gourmet drinks.
It is way better than Starbuck or any other brand name that I previously went to.
My favourite is Black Forest VANILLA. It teases your palate with subtle crunch (of the grinded coffee bean?)mixed with the smooth flow of the smoothie.
The Chicago Cheesecake is heaven and I never like cheesecake before until I tried the one at Coffee Bean!
I also love their Chicken Ceasar Salad and Tuna Ceasar Salad.
The serving is very generous and almost all my friends who don't eat salad give good comments after trying it.
The set up of the outlet gives u a slightly homely feeling mixed with a touch of resort like those in Bali :oD
The biggest reason why I prefer Coffee Bean over say, Starbuck, is because theirs taste better.
