Pros: Wonderful taste, fresh ingredients, fast service! Cons: None in Alaska!
Jreck Subs, but Not in Alaska
I grew up in upstate New York, where there was a Jreck Sub shop in every town near our home. I absolutely loved their sub sandwiches, they were out of this world! Then I moved to Alaska in 1977 and guess what,...

Pros: EVERYTHING!!!!!!! Cons: We're stuck in Florida and they're not here!
I grew up in St. Lawrence County and was introduced to Jreck Subs over 40 years ago. After eating HUNDREDS of them, I can say without the slightest doubt that there is NONE finer. Each sub is greater than the sum of it's parts. While all the ...

I LOVE JRECKS!
by shannalee29 ,Dec 14 '05
Pros: I LOVE THE SUBS! Cons: None that I can think of... except maybe the lines on TWO FOR TUESDAY! :-)
I first ate at the Jreck Subs in Cicero (Rt 11)NY (that is no longer there) and it was only 2 miles from my home, and I frequented that one weekly.
I also would eat at the one at Great Northern Mall(no longer there)when I was there.
I now live in Verona and work in East Syracuse. I eat at the Jreck Subs on Thompson Rd in East Syracuse THREE times a week. I love it there and they undoubtedly MAKE the BEST subs of all the Jrecks subs I have ate at.
Sometimes on the weekend I eat at the one in Canastota or if I am on my way to my boyfriends, the one in Central Square. I have even tried the one in Camden...
My FAVORITE sub is Tuna on Wheat!
But NONE are as delicious as the one on Thompson Road. PLUS the people are so friendly there!
THANKS JRECKS!

Satisfied even a Long Islander.

Pros: Went down real smooth! The bread was out of this world. Cons: I had trouble keeping the juice from the peppers and the oil off my blouse.
After listening to my boyfriend rave for months, I had my first Jreck's sub last week while visiting Alex Bay. Now keep in mind, I'm from Long Island, and we have "heroes", not "subs", and good ones, at that. I truly enjoyed the sub, it was so fresh and tasty. And I loved the chopped hot pepper.

Wonderful Product!
by ToComment ,Dec 24 '03
Pros: Good quality, reasonable prices. Cons: "Jreck" draws laughs from those who know Yiddish. The transliteration kinda means "poop."
I'm another upstate NY expat who misses Jreck's a whole lot. While the Oswego Sub Shop is the ultimate (but sometimes inconsistent and - uh - "risky") place to go for such fare, Jreck's is a very, very close second. Product is usually fresh and tasty, stores clean, service fast. Do they still say "A meal for your money, not a snack?" That, too.
