Chain. This location actually has both a Tripps and a Rockola in the same lot. Pretty cool. So, I'm tootling around one ...
Pros: Fish, Cetified Angus Beef, Great Appetizers and Deserts. Cons: New "Grille" concept is boring. Not for kids anymore
(This review has been edited at the bottom. The top portion of the review deals with the original Rock-Ola Cafe concept, while the final paragraph speaks of the changes at the new Rock-Ola grille concept) You know? Being a native New Yorker, I am ...
Pros: Fun atmosphere with "oldies" music, Great drinks, Cons: So-so food, menu does not match my tastes
I live about a mile from one of the Rock-Ola Cafe's in Greensboro, North Carolina, so I wish it were one of my favorite places. Unfortunately, it's not. I do go to a Rock-Ola in another part of town a few times a year to meet friends for lunch, but...
To be honest I can't believe I am going to be the first to review this place but here goes.
From the time you walk in till the time you leave it is a very enjoyable experience. The restaurant is filled with pictures and rolling stones magazine...
Pros: the caramel apple crisp, fun atmosphere Cons: it's nothing special
Rock-Ola cafe has been around for as long as I can remember. When I was in high school and my first few years of college, there was one not too far down the street from the schools, so I would frequent it on a fairly regular basis. Those visits tapered...
Pros: fun, great food, nice atmosphere Cons: usually crowded
Rock-Ola Cafe has been my favorite restaurant for 10 years now. I just love going there. The food, the atmosphere, the staff, and the feeling are number one!
I love to go to the 50's style restaurant. Although, I grew up in the 80's we...
Pros: All around good time Cons: have to wait to get in on busy nights
This is nothing short of a great place to go to eat. We have 3 small kids and that is something we have to take into account whenever we go out to eat. The booths are very large, enough to fit our growing family and have room to stuff our jackets in the...
Pros: Fun, relaxed atmosphere Cons: Can't really think of any
In my city, we have 2 Rock-Ola Cafe's. Of course I have a preference of one location over the other, however, I have found them both to have friendly wait-staff. I really applaud the Rock-Ola in my city, as they employ many college students, and...
Pros: Great Food, Wonderful Service, cheese fries! Cons: Not a lot of options on the menu
I have been going to eat at Rock-Ola now for many years and I will continue to go back. I have always been a fan of the oldies restaurants and this one is on the top of the list. Every time I have been we have had wonderful service. The waitress/waiter...
Pros: atmosphere, FOOD, FOOD, FOOD Cons: It's not closer to my home!!!!!!
Rockola is a unusual place because it is wonderful for families with small children and for adults! I have a 4 yr old and 7 yr old.... the 4 yr old is a wildman.... doesn't know how to speak quietly so we are careful where we take him out! Rockola has...
I had a Rock-Ola burger that was a "ROCK" by skac ,Sep 08 '03
Pros: My server was excellent, her name was Leslie. Cons: The lack of quality in the food served and it not being prepared as requested.
I visited Rock-Ola Cafe 09/07/03 for lunch with a large group. I ordered the bacon, cheese burger cooked medium which is served with French fries. The burger I was served was cooked to death. I though maybe that is where the name Rock-Ola came from as the burger was hard as a rock. I had requested the burger be served without mayo and much to my distress there was a big glob of it on the bottom bun. The French fries were cold and even seem frozen in the middle. I don't care to go to Rock-Ola Cafe ever again. My server was excellent; her name was Leslie and this was the Winston Salem Rock-Ola on Stratford Road.
