Pros: Great Watch With Multiple Features Including DataLink Cons: None
I admit that I'm a "technodweeb"--anyone who can write a 620-word review about a wheel mouse must be. I purchased the earlier version of the Timex Ironman DataLink watch at Wal-Mart not because I'm an athlete, but because I'm a gadget (and...
Pros: Fucntional, somewhat easy to use, good baclikght Cons: questionable waterproofing, tricky interface
Bill's Review of the Timex Data-Link Watch
Please note before reading this Epinion: I was unable to find the older but still produced Timex Data Link watch on Epinions, so my review is placed here. The review is of a product, which...
Pros: Ease of use, Timex reliability, feature set, large watchband. Cons: Difficult to connect USB connection, could use a larger display, face scratches easily.
I originally bought the DataLink USB "sport" IronMan version, or the original DataLink USB watch (model 53722) more as a gadget and a backup for my PDA more than anything else. It has turned into one of my main watches I wear, and I have it with me more ...
Pros: Interesting concept Cons: Gimmick and Hassle
Timex makes an excellent product. I swear by my own hundred lap Ironman Triathalon watch. With their Data Link series though, Timex created a watch whose utility quickly turns to inconvenience, and falls in the category of a gimmick.
Pros: Perfect, light, full of useful features, links to the PC (one way only) Cons: None so far
The sport I do is ice-skating :-) and I never used to time myself there. That definitely wasn't the reason why I purchased the watch. I am a gadget lover and was looking for a feature rich watch, more importantly, however, wanted to get a watch that can...
Pros: Sturdy, long life, unique Cons: not always practicable
The timex tradition is long and prosperous. Timex has created good watches in the past but something about the data link wasn't quite right. I finally decided to try when I saw it on sale at wal-mart for 30 dollars.
Here are the blatant...
Pros: Water-proof to 100 meters. The timer goes up to 99 hours. And is very sturdy. Cons: You can not press the buttons on the watch underwater. A bit on the bulky side, and not for people with small wrists.
I didn't purchase it, I received it as a gift. These watches are very reliable, the setting are that hard to use. The buttons are not very hard to press. A positive is that it is a hologram watch, also the indiglo works very well. Another is the fact...
Pros: many functions, durable, different time zones, many alarms, able to store phone numbers. Cons: hard to replace the battery
This watch is for anyone. It doesn't matter if you are a hardcore trackstar or if you are a someone who doesn't have time to worry with dates and meetings and client's phone numbers, or whatever else you could think of. I bought this watch because I am...
Pros: Carry your Microsoft Outlook meetings, contacts everywhere. Get meeting alerts. Cons: Clumsy interface to appointments is also a little buggy.
Please also read the excellent review by arinkent, which has broader scope in its coverage. This review focusses on a couple of the more irritating issues with the watch. Why I need the Datalink I found I was missing meetings. I don't ...
Pros: Display. Night light. Alarm. Great features. Very customizable options. Cons: Ugly, ugly, ugly. Cheap looking. Crystal scratches easily and is too soft and too exposed.
Summary: Ugly, cheap looking, but functional. Review: Why oh why would Timex put such a state of the art watch into such a cheap housing?? Unlike the previous versions of Timex data-bank watches this one has the crystal very exposed and not of very go ...
I have had this watch since the day it came out and just found that it was on here.
This watch is one of the most durable watches i have ever had. I am ROUGH on equipment and i have banged bounced and scraped this watch on just about...
Pros: PIM capabilities, excellent watch functions, weight, size, water resistant, view screen Cons: limited memory, 100 characters for records, no appointment history allowed, view screen
My Palm was rapidly deteriorating and as much as I liked it I really wasn't using most of it's capabilities. Combine that with Palm's ability to crash at the most annoying of times, the need for constant charging or new batteries, plus the price of a ...
Pros: ease of use, sync with outlook Cons: hard to sync the first time
You can add the datalink feature to the ironman watch for just a few dollars. Actually, I guess you can't add it but for a few extra dollars you can get the watch with the feature. It makes the watch so much easier to use. I don't know if you have...
