I HEART JetBlue
by snowkat ,Oct 26 '05
Pros: Just about everything. Cons: The fact that they don't travel up and down the West Coast...or worldwide...yet!
Nonstop from Seattle to NYC. Comfy leather seats. Gourmet snacks. 36 channels of DirectTV featuring programming, including BBC America, that satisfied someone like me who rarely turns on the television except for news. Friendly, attentive, efficient flight crews...including one that remained calm and unflappable in the face of not one, but two passenger medical emergencies on one flight. What's not to like?
I learned about JetBlue from a world-travelling friend who rarely goes a month without one longer trip, in addition to weekenders throughout the rest of the month. JetBlue is her absolute airline of choice to NYC. Now it's mine too.

$30 dollars for extra leg room, Charged extra after submitting payment and cannot get refund
by snoopbiscuit ,Dec 18 '08
Pros: no Pros...There are many other sites that offer much better service Cons: Deceptive marking, Customer support is non existent. Be carefull before you press that button
I just bought a ticket with Jetblue and selected an option to have more leg room. From their wording on the site and when I made the selection, I thought that it would only cost an extra 10 dollars. However, upon recieving my email and bill seconds later, and arguing with their customer service that the cost was determined by the length of the flight. When I told them I didnt want the extra leg room because I thought it was only going to cost me $10 dollars, they would only give me a credit. This is deceptive marketing and not how you treat customers. I will never buy through Jetblue again and strongly caution future consumers to watch out for these deceptive tactics and fees.

San Francisco to Washington DC
by huanmeichen ,Sep 28 '07
Pros: Price, Service, Snacks, Entertainment Cons: None.
Best airline experience ever! We were given free headsets to keep w/ each seat having its own entertainment center. The snacks were fantastic as well, and they served us more than once. Will definitely book JetBlue whenever I can.

Restores my faith in air travel
by dcva ,Jun 09 '04
Pros: Cheap fares, modern planes, on time departures, helpful staff Cons: Going from IAD instead of DCA, but that's a petty con.
JetBlue is great! I flew with them for the first time from Washington DC to Oakland CA. The airfares were extremely competitive ($210 return!) Ground staff and cabin crew were friendly and efficient; flights left on time; aircraft was clean and fully serviceable. The inflight snacks were tasty, the DirecTV was a good way to pass the time. The leather seats were comfortable and the leg room (I was back after row 15 both ways) was outstanding. I'm converted to JetBlue which has put some of the pleasure back into air travel. And the other passengers all seemed relaxed, friendly and happy to be on board.

Jet Blue Blues
by lilianny ,Aug 21 '07
Pros: spacious seating; television Cons: horrible check in lines at jfk, headphones stink
My family flew this airline when it first launched 7 years ago and where thrilled with it. Our most recent trip however, shows that they are completely overwhelmed with their success. We flew to Cancun out of JFK on a Sunday. The line to check in wound to all the way out to the curb. After waiting on line for an hour and only getting halfway to the agent, they started making announcements that people on our flight should come to the front. If the people in front of us had not started waving their hands around, I never would have heard the shouted announcments.
On the way back, the stroller which we checked at the gate had been sent to the luggage carousel and completely mangled so I was stuck with two kids, a ton of luggage and no stroller.
Oh and the TV headsets really suck. Of course you can upgrade to the "better" ones by shelling out a buck a piece but I don't know how much better they are since we did not.

Best Flights Ever.
by gregland ,Jun 24 '06
Pros: Satellite TV on every seat. Cons: None.
Wow! I didn't realize that coach class could be this good. The seats were extremely comfortable, and the satellite TV on the back of each seat really helped to pass the time. I have flown similar routes on Continental, United, and NorthWest, but JetBlue blows them away.
On the red-eye, they even gave us a Bliss Spa package, including a sleep mask, moisturizer, and lots of other goodies.
The flight attendants were polite and friendly, treating everyone well (my wife says "like a beloved cousin").
From now on, we're taking JetBlue whenever we fly to New York, even if it costs a hundred dollars more and we have to fly into JFK rather than our preference, Newark.

Preboarding with a little one - You will need help!
by kjledford ,Aug 01 '07
Pros: Price! $170 round trip to NYC from Ohio Cons: Preboarding. Late. No Attendants at Gate.
I tried to "preboard" with my daughter on both the outbound flight and inbound flight. I made it down the walkway and stopped to get her out of the stroller and by then I was being run over by the rest of the crowd. Then I had to wait in line while everyone else got their things put away and sat down. Of course I was in the back of the plane so this took forever with a 16 month old. My advice? If you are traveling with someone send them ahead with the carseat - and have them strap it in (the attendants won't). Don't get on the plane until you absolutely have to. The go in - strap in the little one and you are set. If you are alone, like I was, ask an attendant to take your carseat to the assigned seat - that helps a lot!

$519 "stolen" - disheartening customer service
by mech_engineer ,Aug 13 '09
Pros: Missy the initial contact person who arranged my next flight was great. Cons: Sarah, her supervisor, was not.
I'm a million mile flyer on two airlines.
I'd scheduled a flight to NY on JetBlue only to discover I had a stage 2 cancer the next week. The good news is that I told JetBlue, and they took $40 of my $519 and held the rest as a credit. Fast forward a little over a year. I'm out of surgery and healthy. Time to fly again. It turns out that JetBlue has now kept every last penny, no recourse. What adds insult to this is they could easily have told me, even automatically emailed this would happen. Instead, they quietly stole away with my full pre-paid fare. This system is aimed at screwing their customers, not serving them.

JetBlue... Overrated, but good nonetheless
by metstotop333 ,Jun 28 '05
Pros: Leather seats, DirecTV, good legroom in back of the plane Cons: No soda (Only juice), poor TV reception, service was average
About a week ago I took a flight from JFK-Burlington, VT on JetBlue. I had never flown them before, so I was excited about the TVs and whatnot. When I actually experienced the flight, I came to a quick realization that JetBlue might be the most overrated airline in all of aviation. Although the leather seats are nice, and the TVs are welcome, their service is sub-par and their staff tries WAY too hard to make corny jokes. All in all, I enjoyed JetBlue, and I would use them again without hesitation, but I now know that they are overrated.

I was impressed
by stinkypete ,Jun 29 '07
Pros: A lot for the money Cons: None that I can think of...
I hate flying, however, in this case, I had no choice. I took Jet Blue from New York (JFK) to Las Vegas (LAS). I paid $150 for the flight out and was quite impressed with what I got for the money. When most airlines crowd you like cattle and feed you rabbit food, I was surprised to see how much leg room there was, the size of the seat and the entertainment.
Each seat back has a TV where I had a choice of 60 satellite TV stations to watch or a Google Map of our location over the country. I had a choice of which snack I wanted - not just a small bag of pretzels or peanuts.
The flight was on-time and I couldn't have been happier....

Considerably Better Than The Rest
by eitakorlando ,Jul 11 '05
Pros: More leg room, video screens, friendly flight attendants, no food Cons: Limited flight routes
I flew direct from Orlando to Boston.
Boarded by row - back to front. Complimentary headsets and direct TV programming. Two in-flight movies were available - $5 a piece. The direct TV cut out a few times, but overall a nice diversion for my 3 hour flight.
I appreciate the no food policy because it keeps the costs down (on any other carrier, my direct flight to Boston would have been well over $300).
So you don't go hungry, jetBlue offers a variety drinks and a large selection of bagged snacks (all complimentary - chips, cookies, almonds, pretzels). I requested cranberry juice and was given two 5.5oz cans each flight. Even received a complimentary bottle of water.
I wish that jetBlue flew from Orlando to more cities. Maybe as they get more popular...I would love the opportunity to be loyal to them.
I carried on, so I've nothing to report in that respect.
From now on, jetBlue is the first airline I will check to schedule air travel.

Jet Blue was the best part of my trip
by switchbladesis ,Oct 02 '03
Pros: Super quick everywhere, nice staff and efficient service. Cons: None.
I was so pleased with my experience on Jet Blue, I felt I should share it with others. There were no lines at check in at either airport. The staff was always helpful and friendly, with people stationed all along the way to guide and help. The Directv was a nice addition to help pass the time. Contrary to what I've read elsewhere online, the planes I was on were new looking and clean. On my return flight, we were back to JFK nearly 15 minutes ahead of schedule. Baggage pick up, again, at both airports, was quick and simple -- I was out of the airport in minutes. Even though I had a fairly long flight from NY to Las Vegas, the snacks on board were fine. They were generous with the soda and water, and since they allow you to bring food on board, you can't really go wrong. I would recommend Jet Blue to everyone and I'm so pleased I upgraded my airfare to give them a shot.

JetBlue Airways, a comfortable flight in the sky while watching t.v. !!!!!!
by allstar181 ,Dec 23 '03
Pros: You get to watch t.v. on an airplane, that's a first! Cons: There are absolutely no cons for JetBlue Airways.
JetBlue Airways is an upcoming and rising airline. What makes JetBlue so great is that it's affordable to many people. Also, you get to watch Directv which is great to watch on a flight thats around 5 hours long, it beats watching your tray table. Also, for every flight that you take, you earn Sky points, once you earn up to 100 sky points, you will earn a free flight to anywhere where JetBlue flies! Also, even though JetBlue doesn't serve breakfast, lunch, or dinner, it serves the best snacks that I've ever tasted. Next time you have to go away on business or just on vacation, think affordable, think JetBlue.

The Simple Things Are Hard For Jetblue
by dsfloyd ,Sep 05 '07
Pros: TVs at each seat, low prices Cons: Inattentive customer agents,
2005-2006 were the high times for Jetblue. Good customer service, low fares. I flew them often. I thought I finally had an alternative to Southwest. Now, they can't re-arrange seat assignments within an itinerary (moved my wife from aisle seat to middle seat in the next row) nor can they deliver luggage to the carousel within the first hour after arrival (making announcements is beyond their comprehension). Complain to them? The canned responses are: (1) "We're making our team aware of your complaint so we can improve our service," (2) (essentially) "We can't promise you mistakes won't occur. We're only human," and (3) "We're sorry. We look forward to seeing you on Jetblue again!"

Terrible JetBlue Experiences and Terrible Customer Service
by lishie1026 ,Sep 07 '07
Pros: Nice planes, TV Cons: Rude customer service reps, long delays and no information from crew on what's happening
I've attempted to fly JetBlue multiple times on its Pittsburgh to NYC/Pittsburgh to Boston routes. I've experienced nothing but problems each time I've used them. The last time, the terribly long flight delays, when other flights to the same cities were leaving with no delay, the lack of communication from the staff, and the rudeness of their customer service reps when I called to try and fix my husband's TrueBlue account put me over the top. The prices aren't much better than competing airlines and the extra eight hours it takes to get to/from my goal destination are not worth dealing with the delays and the manipulative staff. I do admit they have nice planes/features, but the terribleness of getting on the plane is not worth the hassle in my opinion.
