Pros: None, complete trash of an airline. Cons: Poor customer service, lost baggage, worn old planes. Whinny and ignorant employees. Trashed luggage.
Round trip flight with connection. Lost luggage on the way to, despite a hour delay at connection. Completely trashed luggage on the way back and I mean TRASHED. Luggage was bent scraped and torn. Yellow paint residue all over all pieces. Look like they ...

Pros: Great frequent flier program, New jets coming on line, New Detroit terminal Cons: Old DC-9's, and the occasionally rude staffer
Northwest's fares are consistently as low as the so-called low-fare airlines. I travel a lot, and I can say there are advantages to booking with NW.
The frequent flier program is the best in the industry in terms of upgrades and rewards.

Pros: On time departures, arrivals, good service, clean planes, good security, you get the picture Cons: not many, some nasty flight attendants on shorter flights
Before my trip, I read some of the reviews for Northwest Airlines, both good and bad, and I doubted flying them, but I said, what the hell, and I took a chance. I flew from HPN top DTW and then to MCO and back. I did upgrade myself with Continental...

Pros: You get where you want to go....eventually. Cons: Price, quality of service, quality of flight.
Picture this... The summer of 2000. My step son has to return home to his Mom. He is still considered a child and should be escorted on the plane to his seat. What happens after that? Well to start with he was never escorted to his seat. They...

Pros: cheaper than most Cons: their customer service is pathetic
On a late summer afternoon in 2002, I was looking to purchase plane tickets to visit my friend in Winnipeg in October of the same year. This was the first time I had ever decided that I was going to use flying as an option for traveling (yes, I'd never f ...

Pros: Good service, usually on-time, fairly easy to use perks, healthy benefits Cons: Food in coach bad, short trips "hurried" and lack services
I've been flying NWA for something like 15 years now, more so in the last 10 years than ever before. I have flown them, or their partners, around the world many times over (nearly 750,000 air miles flown on NWA and partners).
I think that NWA...

Pros: Reasonable prices, large route network, & smooth flights. Cons: Poor customer service, flights tend to run late at times, & old planes.
This is my flight on them since '91 & I was pretty impressed by them. I went from New York City to Honolulu via Minneapolis/St. Paul both legs. The flights were not too crowded on any of the legs at all, the flight was pretty smooth but we had some...

Pros: Website (online checkin, special requests) Cons: In flight service, staff attitude, price, schedule
I was going to fly alone with my 1 year old daughter for the first time from Seattle to Mumbai. I chose Northwest based on short flight time and great connection. I was pleased with the website and the ability to checkin over web and request special ...

Pros: Great priority check-in for World Business Class. Cons: Old-style manual seats in biz class.
Check-in: My wife and I flew out of Seattle (SEATAC) on Sep 1. 2002 to Manila. The World Business Class line was a breeze at check-in and the person staffing the counter was friendly. She didn't make any offer for us to visit the World Class Lounge,...

Pros: good customer service, cheap flights Cons: delayed flights
I've recently flown Northwest a few times...while I did have a delay of over 2 hours (while some indicator light was fixed...kind of creepy) I was very impressed that after we FINALLY took off, the flight attendants handed out voucher packets that were ...

Pros: Personal video systems Cons: DC-10, flight attendants
Let me say upfront that I have never traveled to Europe prior to last week's trip, however, I have flown almost 100,000 miles in the last few years on Northwest and hold silver elite status. I was on a flight booked by my new employer through Detroit to ...

Pros: Great airport service, good on time performance, efficient inflight service Cons: Brisk cabin crew, flimsy/uncomfortable seats, lacks of inflight entertainment
I will go over my recent round-trip on Northwest Airlines from LGA (LaGuardia Airport, NYC) to DTW (Detroit, MI). I took flight 343 outbound aboard an Airbus A320 aircraft. The gate agents were very friendly and helped board the plane very quickly. ...

Pros: Friendly gate and ticket agents. Great Hub Airports. Super comfortable RJ-85's. Great winter weather operations. Cons: Overbooking flights. Impersonal flight crews. Dissapointing food on first class.
In march, I flew from Oklahoma City, OK to Greensboro, NC. My outbound flight was an afternoon/evening routing via DTW. OKC now has flights to all three of NW's hubs, with most flights on the super comfortable RJ-85 (more on that later) I arrived ...

Pros: Service, Aircraft, Prices, schedule Cons: Leg Room, Having to connect, Smaller seats in the back
After recently flying from Dallas/Fort Worth to Orlando on the dates of November 23, 2002 - November 30, 2002 I recently found out how another airline seems to send people flocking to them.
First of all Northwest offers two other AWESOME ways...
