Pros: Sobering memorials, friendly people, tourist-free monuments
Cons: Hard to get to, long waits to exit at Polish border

Pros: A place where you can get away from everything you know.
Cons: The food can be very hard on the stomach.

Pros: Great place to find your roots
Cons: Transportation and Visa Hassles
Well, I've never been to Belarus. But boy have I tried! Visa applications and time constraints, as well as problematic train travel in Eastern Europe prevented me on two different occasions.
