Pros: Living history, quite impressive and imposing building. Cons: Won't take you long, not much in the way of eats in the area.

Pros: It IS Berlin Cons: None
Originally, The Brandenburg Gate was nothing more than a simple toll-gate which marked the western boundary of the city, but the story behind the structure that stands there today is anything but simple. It was constructed in a neo-classical ...

Pros: A Cultural Experience Never To Be Forgotten, A Variety Of Happenings All In One Place, Different Cultures And People Coming Together For The Same Cause, Rich In History, Creating More Symbolism Of The Gate. Cons: The Weather Was Damn COLD, No Seats-Better Have Good Feet, The Uncertain Feeling Of Whether Or Not There Will Be Any Violent Outbreaks, Everything Was In German-Could Pose As A Problem To Only English Speaking Persons Such As Myself.

Pros: it's a sight that will bring goosebumps to your skin Cons: you may not get to see it
Ah, the Brandenburg Tor, the jewel marking the end of Unter den Linden and framing the stunning Siegessaule.
By some stroke of luck, when I made the haj to the end of Under den Linden, approaching the Tor, I noticed the columns were not in...

Pros: historical, lots to do and see Cons: lots of people
To me, standing on the west side of the Brandenberg Gate looking to the East is a monumentally exhilarating experience. Standing in front of you, you have the historical Gate itself. This structure stood first as an entrance to the great city of...
